On October 26, 2025, at approximately 1:38 a.m., deputies from the St. Lucie County Sheriffâs Office Patrol Operations Bureau responded to the 200 Block of E St. Lucie Boulevard following reports of approximately six gunshots heard in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a male later identified as Anthony Cunha, 31, of Ft. Pierce, who was located outside the residence. During the investigation, deputies observed an AR-15 pistol leaning against the side of the residence and located several spent shell casings of varying calibers nearby.
Deputies recovered and seized three fi****ms from the scene:
⢠AR-15 pistol
⢠9mm handgun
⢠Shotgun
Cunha was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
⢠Discharging a Firearm in Public or on Residential Property
⢠Use of a Firearm While Under the Influence of Alcohol
⢠Disorderly Intoxication â Causing a Public Disturbance
⢠Corruption by Threat Against a Public Servant or Family Member
⢠Escape or Attempted Escape by a Prisoner
The St. Lucie County Sheriffâs Office reminds all residents that the responsible handling and discharge of fi****ms is critical to maintaining community safety. The unlawful or reckless use of fi****ms endangers lives and will result in immediate enforcement action.
All fi****ms were seized as evidence, and the investigation remains ongoing.
