💬 My Take
The world of AI is moving past hype and into the realpolitik of geopolitics. The U.S. and China are both doubling down—China with a UN‑style global governance push, the U.S. with export‑driven infrastructure and deregulation. Regional power centers are reshaping the playing field fast.
Meanwhile, companies are staking big bets: Tesla’s AI ambitions show real scalability, while Alibaba and Quark glasses signal AI’s shift toward consumer wearables and everyday utility.
But it’s not all rosy. Job displacement is accelerating, and plenty of people are feeling the pain. AI skilling pays more—but access to reskilling isn’t equal everywhere. And we still haven’t resolved who sets the rules: who gets to speak, who controls governance, and how to deal with ethics enforcement.
All in all, AI is no longer just a tech story—it’s a strategic story with social consequences, global lines drawn, and new players rising fast.
👍 What do you think?
Does China’s governance push level the playing field or risk dominance by a different superpower?
