Maturity is when you decide to stop the baseless argument and turn blind eye to things that can hu*rt you just because you want to prove a point. The peace of mind that comes thereafter is therapeutic. Try it. This is 2026...A new me♥️

Now I finally understand why things are so expensive abroad, especially African stuff.

A friend of mine in the US called me to help her buy some things in Nigeria and ship them over, because buying them there is crazy expensive. Honestly, when I went to the market, I got everything at very affordable prices. The money she sent covered everything she needed with ease compared to what she would’ve paid over there.

But tell me why I bought goods worth ₦1 million, only for shipping to cost ₦1.5 million to the US.

Egbami 😭

I was shocked when they said shipping is ₦25k per kg.

Everything weighed 50-something kg, and that’s not even counting the carton and other packing materials they added.

Does this really make sense to you?
Now tell me… how much do you think she’ll have to sell those things to even break even?

The only good part is that they promised delivery in two weeks and to be fair, they kept their word.

But the cost?

Yepa. Oja mi la ra je.

Honestly, what’s your take on this whole thing?
