🚨 Martinelli’s potential departure has made one thing very clear to me: in football, loyalty is never guaranteed.

Clubs are not always loyal to players, and players are not always loyal to clubs. As painful as it may be for fans, that is simply the reality of football. A player can give everything to a club, spend years building a relationship with the supporters, create unforgettable memories and become a fan favourite…yet still eventually be sold or decide to move on.

Even Lionel Messi, the greatest player in Barcelona’s history, eventually had to leave the club he had spent almost his entire career with.

That is the harsh side of football. Players come and go. Managers come and go. Even legends eventually move on.

But the fans remain.

We are the ones who stay through the good times and the bad. We are the ones who continue supporting the badge, filling the stadiums, buying the shirts and carrying the memories long after the players have left.

Martinelli may leave one day, just like many others before him, but the club will continue and the fans will still be there.

Players write chapters in a club’s history. The fans are the ones who stay to read the entire story.💯

Carragher’s point is that Sánchez shouldn’t be written off as a goalkeeper capable of competing for the title.

🚨 If Martinelli leaves Arsenal this summer, it will feel like the end of the Martinelli–Saka era at the Emirates.

These two were at the heart of Arsenal’s resurgence, especially during the 2022/23 title race. They grew together, developed into key players and became genuine fan favourites, terrorising defenders from opposite wings with their pace, directness and attacking intensity.

For years, seeing Saka on one wing and Martinelli on the other represented a huge part of Arsenal’s identity. They were two young academy-era stars who gave fans something to believe in and played a major role in turning Arsenal back into a serious title contender.

Now, with Martinelli reportedly edging closer to the exit, that partnership could finally be broken. Saka would be the last remaining member of that era, while the Arsenal attack moves into a completely new chapter.

Whatever happens next, Martinelli and Saka will always be remembered as two of the faces of Arsenal’s rebuild. Watching one of them leave will undoubtedly feel like the end of a very special era. 💯

🚨 I’m honestly glad Arsenal didn’t sign Morgan Rogers. I’ve watched him several times for Chelsea, and so far, I’ve struggled to see what he consistently adds to the team beyond the occasional moment of quality.

Yes, he scored against Fulham, but apart from the goal, his overall contribution was underwhelming. At some point, his weaknesses will be exposed, especially when the pressure and expectations increase.

That’s why I’m even happier with Arsenal signing Christos Tzolis for around £35m instead. The difference in price is huge, especially when Rogers is being valued at around £100m.

Tzolis has already shown plenty of encouraging signs since arriving at Arsenal. His confidence, directness, movement, creativity and ability to take on defenders have been impressive, and he looks like a player with a very high ceiling.

Arsenal may have saved themselves a fortune by avoiding the Rogers deal and choosing Tzolis instead. If Tzolis continues developing at this rate, Arsenal could end up looking back at this decision as one of their smartest pieces of business.💯

🚨 Gyökeres is simply too valuable for Arsenal to lose. His physicality, explosive runs in behind, ability to carry the ball, and willingness to run directly at defenders give Arsenal a completely different dimension in attack.

He offers something Arsenal cannot afford to be without: a striker who can stretch defensive lines, win physical battles, create space for others and turn half-chances into dangerous situations.

You need different profiles in a squad competing on multiple fronts, and Gyökeres gives Arsenal that ruthless, direct option up front. Selling him or allowing him to become an afterthought would be a huge mistake. Arsenal need to find a way to get the best out of him.💯

🚨 I’m genuinely struggling to understand how Gabriel Martinelli is being valued at just £60m by Saudi clubs when you look at some of the fees being discussed for other players.

* Barcola — £130m
* Rogers — £116m
* Diomande — £120m
* Savinho — £85m
* Martinelli — £60m

Martinelli is 25 years old, a Premier League winner and has already spent around five years playing at the highest level of English football. He has also proven himself in the Premier League, Champions League and at international level.

So how is his market value supposedly so much lower than players commanding significantly bigger fees?

If Saudi clubs are prepared to spend huge money on younger or less proven players, Arsenal should be demanding a serious fee for Martinelli. £60m feels far too low for a player of his age, experience, profile and potential.

Arsenal need to get better at selling their players. If the club is willing to let Martinelli leave, they should at least make sure they receive a fee that properly reflects his value. 💯
