As the founder of the Kingdom Film Festival, I've often been asked why I'm hosting a film festival specifically for the faith-based community. Some wonder if there's profit to be made or how we plan to secure brand sponsorships in a market where brands often shy away from religious programs.

My response is simple: every niche deserves a platform. The film ecosystem should cater to diverse audiences and provide opportunities for growth, learning, and development. The Kingdom Film Festival is more than just a showcase for faith-based films; it's a knowledge bank that pushes for excellence, sustainability, and innovation in the industry.

We are not ashamed to raise the banner of Jesus on this mountain of media, art, and entertainment excellently.

Our festival provides a platform for emerging and niche filmmakers to showcase their work, often overlooked by mainstream audiences. We offer job opportunities that empower individuals financially and provide visibility for underrepresented filmmakers.

At our festival, we bring together professionals from across the film ecosystem, including distributors, exhibitors, educators, producers, and funding executives. This year's festival received over 2,000 entries from around the world, with winners from America and Nigeria being recognized.

I firmly believe we've started a rich narrative that is bold, influential, and engaging. A narrative that will enrich the Nigerian film ecosystem and contribute value to our evolving industry.

As we conclude this year's festival, I leave you with these words:

Be in the ROOM!
Be a VOICE in that space.
Be a person of VALUE in that room.

Challenge stereotypes and provide solutions. Let's continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in the film industry.

I am thankful to God, our volunteers, brand partners, speakers, facilitators, and the faith-based filmmakers community for joining us at this year's festival.

With the HARVEST comes TEST!

Trust me, when these words the HARVEST is here came to me, I didn't realise it was going to test, try and stretch me. What a SHOcK 😲! I would have thought it was time to pick up, dig in the ripen fork, pluck the fruits, and begin to eat. Boy, was I pruned 😅.

Here are some of my lessons from this month of OCTOBER.

🌿A new season or level comes with new learnings.

🌿One can never graduate from the school of FAITH.

🌿Ironically, I had my HAIR cut ( i didn't plan to, by the way ), and it's been over two decades 🙃 I have had my hair cut this low. As I expect a new level of hair growth, more strength, and length of hair, the cutting of hair had to take place to prepare for the NEW. Indeed, the HARVEST is here. Writing this right now is giving me more depth and insight.

🌿In the voice of Minister Freke Umoh, "they no dey see God finish oo ". There is no arrival mentality in this work with God. It is taking up your cross daily.

🌿Lastly, this month has proven to me that we owe it to ourselves to SHOWUP for what we believe and what we have been called to do. Your feelings will dangle like carrots, be unstable as waves, but you've got to stay STEADY as a rock!

In all, I still judge God faithful and remain thankful for this month of OCTOBER. It's one of my best months yet.

As we get ready to welcome the wonderful month of November, please look back and count your many blessings. You will be surprised at all the Lord has done.

It's still our year of 10X Blesssssssings 💯.
