Ojude Oba 2026: Farooq Oreagba trends, couple rocks Dangote Cement sack outfits, others showcase steeze at festival.

The 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, held three days after Eid al-Kabir, once again lived up to its reputation as one of Nigeria’s biggest cultural celebrations, attracting over 100,000 attendees from across the country and beyond.

The colorful event featured the famous regberegbe age-grade processions, majestic horse rides by members of the Balogun families, and breathtaking traditional outfits that beautifully blended Yoruba heritage with Islamic culture.

Among the standout moments was the grand entrance of Farooq Oreagba, who turned heads as he rode in majestically on horseback dressed in striking green-and-gold attire. Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus also stole the spotlight with her glamorous gold-beaded appearance.

Another attendee sparked reactions online after stepping out in full traditional attire while confidently puffing a cigar, adding a playful twist to the festival’s display of style and steeze.

Top political figures, including Seyi Tinubu and several state governors, were also present at the celebration, further boosting tourism and highlighting the pride and cultural richness of the Ijebu people.

Families also dazzled at the festival as they stepped out in coordinated Yoruba outfits, showcasing elegance, fashion, and cultural pride — a major part of what makes Ojude Oba such a beloved annual event.

At the cultural festival today in Ijebu Ode, May 29th, 2026, Farooq Oreagba shows that he bags different endorsements every year as he wears an FCMB-themed native outfit. He wore different agbadas when it was Glo and Airtel.

The terrosits who abducted students and teachers in schools in Oriire local government area of Oyo State have released fresh videos of the victims calling on Governor Seyi Makinde not to use force to rescue them.

She said, “Please help us, whatever they want please give them, today again is Childrens day, about 14 days we are here in the bush”

Nollywood Actress Fathia Williams Raises Alarm Over Treatment of ‘Efunroye’.

Nollywood actress and producer Fathia Williams has accused some cinemas of frustrating the screening of her film, “Efunroye: The Unicorn.”

In a video shared online, the actress claimed that cinemas were giving the movie late-night showtimes instead of daytime slots, making it difficult for fans to watch.

Williams said the situation has affected the film’s visibility and limited opportunities for the cast to meet fans during cinema appearances.

“Some cinemas are not even giving me time at all,” she said. “By the time they give me stupid showtime and I cannot cope, I’ll leave. That’s what they want to do.”

The actress added that she invested heavily in the film and would not give up on the project.

“I suffered for that movie, I spent a lot on that movie,” she said.

Williams also alleged that some of her actors were turned away during planned meet-and-greet sessions at cinemas because of the film’s scheduling.

She warned that if the movie is eventually removed from cinemas, she may publicly reveal the person she believes is behind the situation.

“Efunroye,” a Yoruba historical drama based on the life of Madam Efunroye Tinubu, stars actors including Odunlade Adekola and Mercy Aigbe.

The film debuted in cinemas nationwide on May 1, 2026, and has performed strongly at the box office since its release.

Williams’ comments add to ongoing complaints from some Nollywood filmmakers, including Toyin Abraham, who have accused cinemas of unfair treatment affecting independent films.

Here in Canada nobody dears beat animal like that even a døg.

Since 1960, many Nigerian leaders across different sectors have been accused of mismanaging public funds, yet millions of citizens continue to suffer from poverty, insecurity, poor healthcare, unemployment, and lack of basic social benefits.

It is heartbreaking that innocent children are kidnapped and abandoned in forests for days without proper care, while teachers and innocent citizens continue to lose their lives to violence and insecurity.
A nation blessed with enormous human and natural resources should not have its people living in fear, pain, and hopelessness. Leadership should be about service, protection, accountability, and improving the lives of the people , not endless political campaigns while citizens suffer daily.

Nigeria deserves peace, justice, security, and responsible governance.
