The present household name Tedros Adhanom the 8th director general of WHO (world health organisation) and also an international recognised malaria researcher who hailed from Ethiopia the 'rugged landlocked Country that is split by the great Rift Valley' joined the ministry of health in 1986, after graduating from the university of Asmara and surge to the height of "minister of health" in Ethiopia from 2005 - 2012 and was also elected board chair of Global fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and malaria for 2 years. He hired and trained about 40,000 female health extension workers while trying to curb the infant mortality rate from 123 death per 1,000 live birth in 2006 to 88 in 2011 and also a minister of foreign affairs from 2012 - 2016.
Tedros Adhanom who is gradually becoming, world most rated social media influencer, a hall of fame he is achieving with 'WHO' that is adorably irresistible to commercial Lords, a politician and academia. Born March 3rd 1965 (age 55yrs) a man who believed in gender equality so much so that he had faith in the empowerment and development of his opposite gender, His faith in women is absolutely contagious, something a core African man would argue to be a waste of resources and absolutely nonsensical, and this is something he is brave at.
Coming from the African oldest independent Country Ethiopia and second largest in terms of population, he (Tedros Adhanom) has carved a deserving niche for himself been the face of World Health Organization (WHO) during the time the world is in great turmoil due to the outbreak of the deadly disease called coronavirus (COVID-19) he also initiated the current trend the 'hand wash challenge' which has seen various celebrities embracing it. To be concise, someone we should emulate .
