APC Tightens Grip on Agbado Oke Odo as PDP Decampees Cross Over

The All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to consolidate its hold on the political landscape of Agbado Oke Odo. In a significant development today, a fresh wave of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Hon. Shogunro, was formally welcomed into the APC fold.

The decampees were received by prominent party elders, including Alhaji Lateef Ibirogba, a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State and the current South West Organizing Secretary of the APC, alongside Hon. Mukaila Yinusa, the LCDA party chairman, and Engr. David Famuyiwa, Chairman of Agbado Oke Odo LCDA.

Observers in the local political scene interpret this as the effective collapse of PDP's presence in Agbado Oke Odo. While critics have persistently accused the Presidency of maneuvering towards a one-party state, possibly as part of a broader strategy for political consolidation, what played out today seemed far from coercion.

The atmosphere was one of visible enthusiasm. Former PDP members appeared genuinely pleased to realign with the party at the centre, many of them beaming with smiles as they joined their new political family.

This development naturally invites reflection. Should the Presidency truly be blamed for what looks like the voluntary choice of political actors? In the dynamic theatre of politics, is it not common for players to gravitate towards the winning team?

Perhaps the more pressing question is this: who is truly responsible for the PDP's decline in Lagos and across Nigeria? Rather than laying the blame at the doorstep of the Presidency, should fingers not point towards PDP’s own leadership, who may have misread the political tides and failed to play the game as shrewdly as their APC counterparts?

The Rising Threat of Young Organ Harvesters

The rate at which young boys are being recruited into the dark world of kidnapping and organ harvesting is alarming. For God's sake, where are we heading? As the elders say, "When the young pick up the machete too soon, the village weeps before the harvest." We are witnessing a generation lured into wickedness, and if nothing is done, society itself will pay the ultimate price.

Reports show human organs being harvested and sold for as little as twenty-five thousand Naira. How did we get here? "A child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." Many of these young perpetrators are victims of a failed system—one that neglects their education, their future, and their sense of morality.

Where are the authorities? Where are the parents? Who gave birth to these heartless criminals? If we close our eyes and pretend not to see, we are complicit. "Evil thrives when good men do nothing." This madness must stop. We must rise as a society and say no to this horror before it consumes us all.

The government must take urgent action. Communities must take responsibility. Every hand must be on deck to curb this menace before we lose an entire generation to crime and destruction.
