The Story of Lot's Wife
:::writing{variant="document" id="58241"} Lot and his family lived in the wicked cities of S***m and Gomorrah. Because of the great sin in those cities, God decided to destroy them. However, God showed mercy to Lot and sent angels to rescue him, his wife, and his two daughters.
The angels urgently warned them, saying, "Escape for your lives! Do not look back, and do not stop anywhere in the plain."
As they fled toward safety, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven upon S***m and Gomorrah. But Lot's wife disobeyed God's command. She looked back longingly at the city she was leaving behind. Immediately, she became a pillar of salt.
Lot's wife serves as a warning about the danger of disobedience and the temptation to cling to the things God is calling us to leave behind. Jesus later reminded His followers of this event when He said, "Remember Lot's wife" (Luke 17:32).
Moral Lesson: When God leads us forward, we must trust Him completely and not allow our hearts to remain attached to our past. :::

Mary, Mother of Jesus was a young Jewish woman chosen by God to give birth to Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Her story is primarily recorded in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
Key Lessons from Mary's Life
1. Obedience to God
When the angel Gabriel announced that she would give birth to the Messiah, Mary responded with faith and humility:
“I am the Lord's servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.” (Luke 1:38)
Mary trusted God's plan even though it was difficult and could bring misunderstanding from others.
2. Faith During Trials
Mary experienced many challenges:
Giving birth in a stable in Bethlehem.
Fleeing to Egypt to protect Jesus.
Watching Jesus suffer and die on the cross.
Despite these hardships, she remained faithful to God.
3. Humility
Mary never sought fame or power. Instead, she glorified God, saying:
“My soul glorifies the Lord.” (Luke 1:46)
Her life teaches believers to give glory to God rather than themselves.
4. A Loving Mother
Mary cared for Jesus from His birth through His ministry. She was present at important moments of His life, including His crucifixion.
Spiritual Significance
Mary is honored because she was chosen to bring the Savior into the world. Her example encourages Christians to:
Trust God's plan.
Remain faithful during difficulties.
Live with humility.
Serve God wholeheartedly.
