Two Yobe Girls Emerge Global Champions in One Day in UK after both represented Nigeria in different categories.
In a historic achievement, two young girls from Yobe State, Nigeria, have emerged as global champions at the prestigious 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.
NAFISA ABDULLAHI, aged 17, was crowned the Overall World Best in English Language Skills, while RUKAYYA MUHAMMAD FEMA, aged 15, emerged as the Overall World Best in Debate.
Both girls are indigenes of Yobe State and proud students of the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), located in Mamudo, Yobe State. The school, was established, manage, and fully funded by the Yobe State Government. Also, the same Yobe State government provides scholarships to all its students.
Representing Nigeria, Nafisa and Rukayya competed against over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations, and emerged at the very top of their respective categories.
This outstanding success not only places Yobe on the global map of academic excellence but also highlights the transformational impact of strategic investment in education under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, the Executive Governor of Yobe State.
