People often talk about being in a “waiting season”, whether it’s in your business, career, relationships, or life in general. What many of us don’t realise is that your waiting season might just be one of the most powerful seasons of your life.
But here’s where it gets tricky: sometimes you’re in the wrong environment, surrounded by the wrong voices, or carrying the wrong mindset. And without even knowing it, you begin to see your waiting season as punishment, instead of preparation.
The truth is, that “delay and disappointment” is often where the deep work happens. It’s in those quiet, uncertain times that you’re supposed to learn, reflect, build, and align. That’s where you learn things that will shape your future. It’s not just idle time, it’s a transitioning season. You go from zero to a 100 not by rushing, but by understanding why you’re in that season and soaking up all the lessons it has to offer.
Some people don’t get the grace of a waiting season; they’re always on the go, constantly moving, never pausing long enough to reflect. But you? If you’ve been given that pause, that space to wait, don’t waste it. Most of us waste our waiting seasons, and it’s so sad.
I’m talking to that person who feels like nothing is moving, like doors are shut and prayers are hanging, it’s an opportunity and not a punishment. It’s a setup for something greater.
Don’t wish it away. Use it. Let it transform you, for the sake of your future, your children, and the generations after you.
Your waiting season is a blessing in disguise. Treat it like one.
