₦1.62 Billion Reportedly Spent to Expose Tinubu’s Alleged Criminal Records, What Do You Think?

According to a claim attributed to Festus Tony, ₦1.62 billion was reportedly paid by Atiku Abubakar in an effort to ensure that documents relating to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s alleged criminal records were made public.

The statement has sparked questions about Atiku’s intentions and the extent to which he is willing to go in his quest for the presidency.

Critics argue that spending such a huge amount of money on political battles could have been directed toward more productive causes — such as education, agriculture, youth empowerment, job creation and food security, particularly in Adamawa State and across Nigeria.

The bigger question, however, is this: Is Atiku’s ambition driven by a genuine desire to serve Nigerians, or has the pursuit of the presidency become a personal obsession?

If these allegations are true, Nigerians deserve to know where the money came from, how it was spent, and what exactly it was intended to achieve. At the same time, such serious claims should be backed by credible evidence rather than political speculation.

One thing is certain: 2027 will test the character, credibility and intentions of every presidential contender.
