Foodstuff prices at Ile-epo market today 8th June, 2026.

Hopefully, UTC tomato doesn’t get more expensive than it already is. Good thing the local tomatoes are out, that should reduce the pressure- abi give people an option. In the next few weeks, expect this tomatoes to flood the market. Price will reduce too.

I couldn’t buy pineapple o, too expensive. One penkelemess size like this🤌🏾, they said it’s 1k. It’s not even plenty at the market. Mangoes just Dey spoil dey go, they were even selling some for 800 naira per basket. Just that they won’t see tomorrow.

I did not even see plantain at iso oloko, not that I was looking for the expensive thing anyway😕. Corn sellers have taken over. Fruits like tangerine, orange, cucumber are back in season. That’s it for this month my people, happy shopping.

Masa is like white rice for where?

Ingredients
4 cups of rice (the type used for making tuwo shinkafa)
1/2 cup of sugar (or to your taste)
4 teaspoons of yeast
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 medium sized onion
1 tablespoon salt
3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

I really love baking, AS LONG AS IT IS SIMPLE O😂. Like this one that didn’t require me to consult anyone😄. Be like me, choose easy, simple cake recipes.

I used;
2 medium fingers of plantain
8 soaked dates
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup veg. oil
2 eggs
1/2 tablespoon coffee
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
