But despite not eating it, I still make sure I give it to my kids almost everyday.

I saw this video on aproko doc's page, where a yam seller was bringing out his tubers of yam from the gu++£r which has bl@ck d!r+y wat£r in it 🙆

I FEEL LIKE CRY!.NG RIGHT NOW. 😔💔

Tell me why the textbooks and workbooks I bought for my son in JSS2 and the ones I bought for my Ada in JSS1 were barely touched throughout the entire session.

School is about to resume, and I’ve been worried because I need to buy books for my children again, but honestly, I don’t have enough money for everything right now.

So today, while talking with my son and my Ada about the books they would need, they told me something that honestly br0.ke my he@rt.

Some of the textbooks and workbooks I bought for them last session were NEVER USED.

The teachers responsible for those subjects didn't give them classwork or assignments in the workbooks.

The one that got me really @*ngry was my Ada’s Business Studies workbook. I bought it specifically for her, and I checked it today only to discover that it was practically untouched. 😔

And the most frustrating part?

My son had actually written a note in the school suggestion box complaining that some of the workbooks were not being used. After a while, the teacher started using his workbook for assignments.

But guess what?

It was abandoned again.

Why?

As a parent, I work hard to provide these things for my children. These books are not free. Every textbook and workbook I buy is money I have had to s@ from our family’s budget.

So imagine my p@!n when I discover that books I strug*gled to buy were barely used, while I'm now expected to spend money buying another set again. 💔

I honestly don't even want to go to the principal because I’m afraid that even if he speaks to the teachers and they start using the books, it may only be temporary before everything goes back to normal.

Parents need to be protected too.

I strongly believe there should be a system where textbooks and workbooks that are still in good condition can be reused by younger siblings, especially where families have more than one child in the same school.

If a textbook is still perfectly usable, why should a parent be f0*rc£*d to buy another copy simply because the child has moved to the next class?

I am therefore app€@*ling to the Lagos State Ministry of Education and the relevant to look into this !$$ue and help put measures in place to reduce unnecessary financial pre$$ure on parents.

Please, help me share this post. 🙏🏽

I want this message to get to the Lagos State Ministry of Education and, hopefully, the Governor.

This isn't just about me.

There are so many parents out there struggling to provide school materials for their children, only to discover that some of the books they bought with their hard-earned money were hardly used.

We parents deserve to be heard too. ❤️
