LABOUR PARTY’S VICTORY IN AMUWO ODOFIN IS NOT IN CONTENTION — JULY 12 IS OUR MANDATE DAY

Dear Electorates of Amuwo Odofin and Oriade LCDA,

The upcoming July 12 LASIEC Local Government Elections is not just another date on the calendar it is a defining moment for our beloved communities. The victory of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections across Amuwo Odofin was a clear message that our people desire true change, responsible leadership, and grassroots-focused governance. That message has not changed. If anything, it has grown louder.

The signs are clear Labour Party’s victory on July 12 is not in contention. The same people who gave our party massive support in 2023 are ready to replicate that victory, this time at the local level where the real impact of governance is felt. Our message is simple and consistent: People-centric, people-inclusive leadership that listens, understands, and delivers.

Amuwo Odofin LGA and Oriade LCDA cannot afford to go back to a system of transactional politics and empty promises. We need round pegs in round holes. We need leaders who will bring real development, prioritize education, health, youth empowerment, security, infrastructure, and economic growth and Labour Party offers that hope.

This is why we are calling on all eligible voters to come out en masse on Saturday, July 12. Mobilize your families, your neighbors, your friends, and your wards. Let us vote Labour Party from top to bottom — in Amuwo Odofin and in Oriade LCDA. Let us make a bold statement that the era of disconnected leadership is over.

Together, let us usher in a new dawn of progress and accountability. Together, let us win again.

Vote Labour Party!
Vote Progress!
Vote the People’s Mandate!

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION IS NOT A TRIAL-AND-ERROR VENTURE.

Dear Amuwo Odofin Electorates,

As we approach the LASIEC Local Government Election on Saturday, July 12, we must remind ourselves that grassroots governance is not for learners or political opportunists. It is the heartbeat of our communities, where real impact is felt daily from roads, to schools, to health care and security.

We cannot afford to experiment with leadership at this level. Local Government Administration is not a trial-and-error venture. It requires individuals who are tested, trusted, and fully grounded in the workings of the system.

That is why Amuwo Odofin deserves a competent and visionary leader with proven administrative experience. One who understands the terrain. One who has served before and delivered. One who is ready from Day One

Engr. Seyi Ipinlaye, MNSE, a former Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) in Amuwo Odofin and former Special Adviser on Tourism, brings that depth of experience and administrative acumen to the table. He is a round peg in a round hole.

The path is clear. The vision is bold. The time is now.

On Saturday, July 12, vote Engr. Seyi Ipinlaye, MNSE for Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government on the platform of the Labour Party (LP).

Let’s walk this path of light and transformation Together.

Vote Experience. Vote Capacity. Vote Engr Seyi Ipinlaye MNSE Vote LP.

THE JULY 12 LASIEC ELECTION & ROLES OF POLL AGENTS

Dear Polling Agents,

As the July 12 LASIEC Local Government Election approaches, this is a crucial message to all polling agents representing their political parties across Lagos State. You are not just observers at the polling stations you are defenders of democracy, watchdogs of transparency, and the eyes of your political parties. The integrity of the electoral process at the grassroots depends significantly on how diligently you play your role.

Here are few vital guidelines and reminders to help you execute your duty effectively on election day:

✅ Before Voting Begins
The Presiding Officer must place the empty ballot boxes on the table, open them, and publicly display them to everyone present agents, voters, and security personnel before sealing them. This is a fundamental transparency requirement. Ensure this happens before voting commences.

✅ After the Last Vote is Cast
Once the last person on the queue votes, the Presiding Officer must, in your full presence:

Open the ballot box.

Sort the ballot papers according to party symbols.

Count the votes aloud, using the name or acronym of each party.

Record the votes of each candidate in LASIEC Form 009A and 009B accordingly.

✅ Your Role in Verifying Results
You are expected to cross-check the following:

Number of registered voters at the polling unit.

Number of accredited voters (should not exceed registered voters).

Number of ballot papers issued.

Number of unused ballot papers.

Total number of votes scored by all candidates.

If you notice that the total votes cast exceed the number of ballot papers issued, demand a full check and recount before results are filled and announced.

✅ Declaration of Results

Councilorship election results are declared at the Ward Collation Centre by the LASIEC Returning Officer.

Chairmanship election results are declared at the LGA or LCDA Headquarters.

🛑 Important Note:
A polling agent’s refusal to sign the result sheet does not invalidate the result. This is why it is essential to be present, alert, and actively involved from voting through counting to collation.

Let us all play our part to ensure a credible, peaceful, and transparent election.

May grassroots democracy thrive in Amuwo Odofin LGA, Oriade LCDA Lagos State and Nigeria.

Dear Electorates & Constituents of Amuwo Odofin,

Joyfully, I welcome you all to the month of July a month that gently reminds us that resilience births results when powered by unity, courage, and purpose.

In the last general election of 2023, Amuwo Odofin made history. Against all odds, we rose with one voice and elected Labour Party across key positions in our constituency. That collective action was a demonstration of strength, conviction, and a deep desire for change.

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO SIT ON THE FENCE

Politics affects everything around us from the quality of roads we drive on, the schools our children attend, the security in our neighborhoods, to the overall well-being of our communities.

To ignore politics is to surrender your voice and power. As the legendary quote goes, “Anyone who says they are not interested in politics is like a drowning man who insists he is not interested in water.” You may choose not to be involved in politics, but politics will always find a way to involve itself in your daily life.

The July 12 LASIEC Local Government Elections in Amuwo Odofin present us with a clear opportunity to chart a new course. For eight long years, the APC-led administration has brought nothing but stagnation to Amuwo Odofin. Roads remain impassable, drainages blocked, commuters suffer daily hardship, and the people are left at the mercy of a grassroots government that seems disconnected from the pain of its constituents. This is not leadership this is abandonment.

Now is not the time to sit on the fence. Now is the time to stand up, speak out, and vote out incompetence.

Labour Party is offering a clean break from the past. A shift from transactional politics driven by self-interest and empty promises to transformational politics that puts the people first, prioritizes development, and restores dignity to governance.

On July 12, let our voices echo loud and clear at the polls: No more suffering. No more neglect. No more APC. Let's vote Labour Party from top to bottom and usher in the kind of leadership Amuwo Odofin truly deserves.

May Amuwo Odofin succeed.

Let’s go further TOGETHER.

LET'S RISE WITH ONE VOICE & SAY NO TO NEGLECT & YES TO PROGRESS

Residents of Amuwo Odofin, especially within the heart of Festac Town, have long endured the consequences of poor grassroot governance of APC-led administrations.

From crumbling roads to flooding, decaying infrastructure, and a lack of meaningful urban renewal projects, the reality on ground tells a story of neglect, failed promises, and transactional politics that put personal gain and interests above the people’s needs.

The daily frustration of navigating pothole-ridden roads in festac, the absence of functional drainage systems are constant reminders of a government disconnected from the plight of the people.

It is no longer news that the APC-led government has repeatedly paid lip service to the development of Festac, leaving residents to shoulder the burden of poor planning and misgovernance.

The people of Amuwo Odofin must now realize that the consequence of yet another APC administration will only mean more years of suffering, lost opportunities, and continued abandonment. The time has come to reject neglect, reject excuses, and reject the politics of tokenism. Festac Town deserves a leadership that is bold, people-oriented, and committed to genuine urban renewal.

This is the moment to embrace transformational politics. A politics rooted in service, community development, and transparency. A leadership that will prioritize road rehabilitation, proper waste management, sustainable infrastructure, and the dignity of residents.

The future of Festac depends on the decisions we make today. Let us rise with one voice and say NO to neglect and YES to progress. Let us rally behind leaders who value people over party, service over self-interest, and legacy over temporary power. The time to act is now. Let’s reclaim Festac!

May Amuwo Odofin Succeed!

AMUWO ODOFIN IN DIRE NEED OF ROAD REHABILITATION AND GOOD GOVERNANCE

The current state of the roads of Festac are an eyesore and a testament to the inhumane, selfish level of governance by the ruling party the APC.

This is 2nd avenue by alakija on the 11th of June 2025, a road that the ruling party of Amuwo has turned a blind eye all for selfish reasons at the expense of its citizens.

We the good citizens of Amuwo Odofin deserve better and must vote for better in the person of Engr. Seyi Ipinlaye (MNSE), the chairmanship candidate of the Labour Party in the forthcoming local government elections on July 12th.

Engr Seyi Ipinlaye MNSE will hit the ground running with different projects aimed at restoring the dilapidated roads of Festac town, therefore restoring the dignity of Festac and its citizens.

On a rainy day it takes one about 30 minutes just to drive out of from 23 road into Amuwo, all because of the state of our roads and the traffic it incurs.

A vote for Engr. Seyi Ipinlaye MNSE of the Labour Party is a vote for transformation, a vote for excellence, a vote for our liberation, a vote for good governance.

Come July 12th, let us send the APC and their cohorts packing out of 41 road. The power is in our hands to liberate ourselves from the shackles of wickedness. Come one come all.
