It was indeed a great adult harvest and special thanksgiving service for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Presidential Candidate at the Cherubim and Seraphim Society, Olorunsogo, Ese-Ofin, in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area.

The happiness and joy registered on people’s faces shows that the body of Christ appreciate and love our presidential candidate and would go all out ensure his emergence for the benefit of all.

I want to specially appreciate Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Kadri Hamzat; the Royal Majesties; members of the National Assembly and candidates; members of the Lagos state government executives; as well as the state assembly members and candidates, Council chairmen, top government functionaries and other clerics who graced the event.

To all members of the All Progressives Congress - APC and most especially my state executive committee, national and zonal executive members, we shall converge again to thank God for the emergence of Asiwaju as the President, Sanwo-Olu as the Governor and all other APC candidates.

New Media Practitioners Close Ranks on Media Round Table, Chat new Course

Recently, a select group of astute practitioners operating in the New Media space, drawn from across newsrooms, advertising and digital marketing backgrounds have met, under the auspices of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN, to begin conversations that will impact their careers and industry positively.

OMPAN, is a rallying platform for like minds and progressives, in the New Media space, who are excellence driven, and poised[fa1] with clear-cut drive to make a mark in their careers.

Addressing participants at the meeting, President of OMPAN, Publisher MetroNewsNg and Executive Director Dux FM, Otunba Femi Davies, described the role of journalists, beyond being sentinels and conscience of the society, should also be confident enough to begin to assume leadership positions and coming center stage; lending credence to the ideology that one is addressed proportionately to how they carry and comport themselves.

He heartened participants to build themselves enough to assume leadership positions, in society, and not just be comfortable being observers and back
benchers.

On plans for the organization, the president also reiterated that OMPAN will be strategically positioned to serve as a nexus between practitioners and various sectors of the society.

"...with OMPAN, it will not be business as usual, as the organization is positioned to bridge the gap between practitioners and various sectors of the society, be agenda setters and support government and her agencies towards building a model country in the eye of the world."

Otunba Davies also speech assured a formidable alliance between membership of the organization, which will translate to improved work environment and welfare for members.

Other notable individuals present at the meeting were Niyi Tabiti of Gist Master, Damilare Bankole of Lagos Post, Abiola Alaba-Peters of Zebra News, Femi Herbert of Celebrity Watch, Gbolahan Adetayo of Naija Society News, Vanesa Okwara of Von Digest and Seunmanuel Faleye of Apples Bite Int'l Magazine.

Others are Shaba Gbenga Isaac, Adenike Abiona, Funsho Akinwale, Wale Onifade and Aina Iyabo.
