So yesterday, I met this sweet lady for the first time.
We got talking, and she asked, So, what do you do?”

I smiled and said,
I’m a gift curator.

Her eyes lit up , not from understanding
But from confusion.

What’s that? she asked, eyes squinting like I just spoke French.

I laughed and broke it down gently:

As an event planner who had also worked directly with high end event planners I would share this with you for free.

When you get an invite for events, check the invitation card properly for additional information or guidance , you might probably be asked to scan for more information,it won't take you more than a few minutes.

There are events that are strictly by invitation which means your card covers only you.

There are events that children are not allowed, they don't hate children but there is no provision for them

There are events that camera's are not allowed, there is a provided spot for you to take all your pictures and videos.

Everyone has their dream events and they can make their own rule, if you are not comfortable with the rules stay back.

Breaking someone's event rules as an advert portrays irrationality. In an event that says strictly by invitation and your card covers only you, don't go with extra as they won't be allowed in .

In an invitation that says cameras are not allowed in the hall, these people already made provision for necessary cameras and coverage. They don't want disruption or you taking their pictures. Please obey.

There are people who made provision for photography and videography for memorial use and not social media, they don't want them posted on social media,they want a quiet private life and you should respect that as an adult.

I have seen people question other choices of events types and rules, remember it's their day and you absolutely have no right to disrupt it.

Finally, stay away from events you are not invited to, especially directly invited, unless it's an open party.

Event vendor, there is a whole lot for you but I guess video would be better or I break it into segments.
