I have no problem telling someone how much I love them, appreciate them, and value their place in my life. But if that love starts making them feel too comfortable, too entitled, or too sure that I’ll always be there no matter how they behave, then they’ve misunderstood me.

Love is not a license to take someone for granted. The same heart that loves deeply also knows when to walk away. And when I do, you’ll be left questioning whether I ever cared at all.

The truth is, I did. You just didn’t value it while you had it.
