**Lycopene (C40 H58)**: Lycopene is a natural compound found in various fruits and vegetables, particularly abundant in tomatoes and watermelon, but present in smaller amounts in papaya. Its medicinal significance should not be overlooked.

In the industry, lycopene can be extracted from raw tomatoes using reflux condensation techniques. It boasts a wide range of health benefits and also serves as a raw material in the chemical industry.

**Medicinal Benefits of Lycopene**:
- Reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as high blood pressure and heart disease.
- Lowers the risk of prostate cancer.
- Improves vision.
- May help lower blood sugar levels, making it beneficial for diabetes management.

While lycopene is important in its natural form, it is actually more concentrated in processed tomato products, such as tomato paste, due to its low solubility in water.
