What you think is “just a joke” today could become the voice your child carries in their head for years.
Don’t make fun of their appearance, mistakes, fears, weaknesses, academic struggles, or anything they already feel insecure about.
Children need parents who correct them without humiliating them and guide them without making them feel small.
Before you laugh at your child, ask yourself:
“If someone said this to my child when I wasn't around, would I be okay with it?”
Let your home be the place where your child feels safe, valued, accepted and loved. ❤️
Parenting reminder: We can teach our children better without tearing them down.
