Jesus & the fishermen:

Matthew 4:18-20.
While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Mark 1:16-18.
_Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew... casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him._

Luke 5:10-11
_Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him_

Same moment, 3 Gospels. Peter, Andrew, James, and John were all fishermen when he called them.

Abram/Abraham
Genesis 12:2-3:
“I will make you into a great nation… and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

God spoke to Abram while he was still childless, old, and living in tents. No empire, no heirs, no reputation. Yet the promise was massive: “I will make you a great nation.” Not because Abram earned it, but because God chose him. The blessing wasn’t just for Abram’s comfort. It had direction. “I will bless you… and you will be a blessing.”

Verse 3 widens the circle: “All peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” From one man in Ur would come a family, a nation, a Savior. That’s Jesus. So this promise reaches past bloodlines to every race, every country, every “people group.”

God still works the same way. He blesses you not to fill your hands, but to open them. Chosen, blessed, sent.

125.1.
“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

Mount Zion isn’t just a hill in Jerusalem. It’s an image, a picture God paints for anyone who feels shaky. When the psalmist says “those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,” he’s handing you a metaphor you can stand on.

1. Unmovable because of what it’s built on.
Mount Zion wasn’t impressive because of its height. Other mountains around Jerusalem were taller. Its strength wasn’t geology — it was placement. God chose it. “Cannot be moved” in Hebrew is bal-yimmot, it won’t be shaken, waver, totter, or collapse.

Think about what moves people today. Bad news moves us. A text message moves us. One wrong medical report, one rejection email, one empty bank notification ,and we feel like we’re sliding downhill. Anxiety moves us. Fear moves us. Opinions move us.

Trust is the anchor. Not positive thinking. Not “being strong.” Trust means you’ve tied your weight to something heavier than your circumstances. When you trust the Lord, your stability stops depending on how calm your week is. Mount Zion didn’t hold itself up. The bedrock under it did. You don’t hold yourself up either. The Lord under you does.

2. Abides forever — not just survives the moment.
“Abides forever” is ,leolam yesheb, It means to sit, to remain, to dwell, to continue. Forever is a long time. Psalms aren’t written by people who had easy lives. David, the son of Korah, the exiles , they wrote this while surrounded by enemies, political chaos, and personal loss. “Forever” wasn’t theory for them. It was defiance.

We live in a world of temporary things. Jobs end. Relationships shift. Seasons change. Even your emotions at 9am won’t be the same at 9pm. But the psalm promises a kind of staying power that outlasts all of that. When you trust the Lord, you’re not just getting help for today’s problem. You’re being built into something that lasts.

THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND ITS POWER

Tuesday, June 2nd 2026

Pastor Chris

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

Righteousness is the nature of God that reveals His rightness—His ability to be right, only and always right. It’s His equity in judgment, His fairness to anyone and everyone. This is why righteousness belongs to God alone; no man by his own effort can attain it.

This was the dilemma: God gave the Law, but man couldn’t keep it, not because the Law was wrong but because man by sin had lost the ability to fulfil it. How then could man relate with a God who demands absolute righteousness?

This is why the Lord Jesus came. He knew we could never attain righteousness by ourselves; it was impossible. So, He came to give us His life and nature. When you received Christ, you received the very life of God. Just as you were born into this world with human life, you were born again with the life and nature of Christ.

This new life came with a gift—righteousness. This isn’t human righteousness or righteousness by works; it’s the righteousness of God. It’s given, imparted, or bestowed. You don’t work for it; you receive it. This righteousness produces something extraordinary in you. It gives you the ability to live right, to do right, and to walk in God’s will.

More than that, it gives you boldness before God. You can stand in His presence without inferiority, without guilt, and without condemnation. This is your reality now that you’re born again. You’re not trying to become righteous; you’ve been made righteous. You don’t struggle to please God; you live out His nature that’s within you. This is the life of righteousness: living in dominion, with confidence, and in fellowship with the Father. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; this is my nature and m

AFFIRM GOD’S WORD OVER THE NATIONS

Wednesday, May 27th 2026

Pastor Chris

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

Today, there’re systems and voices in the world that present themselves as guides to the nations, yet their ideas have brought confusion, hardship and economic destruction to many countries. These are organizations that claimed to offer solutions but instead misled leaders, crippled economies, and plunged nations into unnecessary debts.

Many governments, in times of global crisis, followed these voices without discernment, and the results were devastating. The Scripture already warned us about such influences: “They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them" (1 John 4:5).

But thanks be unto God! We’re not helpless spectators in the earth. As the Church of Jesus Christ, we have authority; we rule and we change things. Through prayer and the exercise of our faith, we’re able to dismantle the agenda of darkness. No organisation, ideology, or structure can control the nations as long as we take our place and stand against them in faith.

Our responsibility is to stand in the Spirit and affirm God’s Word over the nations and their leaders. Declare His peace and prosperity over the nations. He told us to do it: Luke 10:5-6, “And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.”

We have amazing authority in His name to bless the nations: “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted…” (Proverbs 11:11). Through our words of blessing, the cities and nations of the world are exalted. They’re lifted from the thraldom of deception, economic woes and debt into the destinies that God ordained for them.

Through our faith and intercession, the will of God prevails in the earth. Therefor

IT’S ABOUT THE BLESSING IN YOU

Monday, May 11th 2026

Pastor Chris

And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian (Genesis 39:2).

The Bible tells us a beautiful story in Genesis chapter 37 through 50, which recounts the life of Joseph, his journey from the pit to the palace, and the blessings of God upon his life. Having been sold by his brothers into slavery, he was later brought into what looked like a new opportunity when he became a housekeeper in Potiphar’s home.

Nevertheless, Joseph never lost consciousness of his identity. He knew he was Jacob’s son, the seed of Abraham; therefore, he refused to see himself as a victim of circumstances. That understanding shaped the way he lived and worked. Even in menial assignments, Joseph distinguished himself. He functioned with a difference. He carried himself as one who was blessed, and that blessing was evident in everything he did.

His excellence couldn’t be ignored, and his life stood out so distinctly that even Potiphar’s wife sought to seduce him. But Joseph refused her advances, recognising both the integrity required of him and the honour of his master’s trust. Regardless of the pressure from Potiphar’s wife for him to compromise, Joseph chose righteousness and fled.

His decision led to a false accusation and imprisonment. He was condemned despite his innocence. Yet, the prison didn’t redefine him. Joseph didn’t forget who he was, and the blessing on his life continued to produce results. Right there in prison, he became a source of encouragement, giving hope to others and functioning with wisdom and grace until he was entrusted with leadership among the prisoners.

Then, by God’s design, Pharaoh required an interpretation of a dream, and Joseph was brought out from confinement. In a moment, the one who had been sold as a slave and treated as a criminal was elevated to become the prime minister of Egypt. His location ch
