"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great" - Zig Ziglar
At first, this quote used to sound like other normal quotes to me, not until recently did I understand the power in the quote.
"You don't have to be great to start..."
Many dreams about being the best at their various profession but never live to the dreams because they are scared of starting small or hate friends, family, and strangers seeing them starting small.
As a result, they never take the first step, too worried about having everything working out before they start.
"...but you have to start to be great."
If you don't take the first step, how do you get to the finish line?
It is as simple as that.
If you don't make that call, how will your caller know what's on your mind?
If you don't promote your products, how do you get new clients for your brand, products, or services?
Yes, we all want to come out sparkling but you can not sparkle every day.
Take most top bloggers and news outlets, for instance, they don't write great content all the time but the fact is they need to always post new content always to keep their users engaged.
We are a new startup but we want to be able to look back at this post in the future and tell you we started small and not afraid to make mistakes.
Once you realize that it’s okay to be bad at something the first time you try it, you’ll give yourself the freedom to experiment more and try new things. But the most important thing to remember is that you have to start.
So build that business website you have been dreaming of having.
Start that marketing campaign you have been skeptical of starting.
Apply for that new degree, start that new course you have been postponing.
