# FROM STREET TO SUCCESS – PART 12
"THERE SHE IS!"
The voice echoed through the warehouse.
Amara's heart pounded against her chest.
The mysterious man instantly grabbed her arm.
"We have to move. Now!"
Before she could ask any questions, he pulled her toward a narrow staircase hidden behind stacks of old wooden crates.
Heavy footsteps filled the warehouse.
The men were getting closer.
Amara glanced back.
At least six men had entered the building.
All dressed in black.
All searching for her.
"Who are they?" she whispered.
The man didn't answer.
Instead, he pushed open a metal door at the top of the stairs.
They stepped onto a narrow walkway overlooking the warehouse floor.
From above, Amara could see the men spreading out below.
One of them shouted:
"Find the girl! She has the drive!"
The drive.
The flash drive her father's friend had given her.
Amara tightened her grip on it.
Whatever was stored inside it was important enough for people to risk everything.
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.
BANG!
The sound echoed through the building.
Amara froze.
The mysterious man grabbed her shoulder.
"Keep moving!"
They raced across the walkway.
Halfway across, another shot rang out.
This time the metal railing beside Amara exploded.
She screamed.
The men had seen them.
"They're upstairs!"
Within seconds, several men started climbing the staircase.
Amara's legs felt weak.
She had never been this terrified.
Not even during the hardest days of her life.
Not when she was struggling to survive.
Not when she thought her father had abandoned her.
Nothing compared to this.
Finally, they reached another exit.
The door led outside to the back of the warehouse.
Rain poured from the sky.
The streets were empty.
The mysterious man handed Amara a folded piece of paper.
"What's this?"
"A location."
Amara looked confused.
"Go there tomorrow."
"Why?"
The man's eyes filled with urgency.
"Because that's where you'll find the truth."
Before she could respond, the sound of engines filled the air.
Three black SUVs turned the corner.
Fast.
Very fast.
The man's face turned pale.
"They found us."
"What do we do?"
He looked at her.
Then at the flash drive.
Then back at her.
"Whatever happens, do not let them get that drive."
The SUVs screeched to a halt.
Doors flew open.
Men jumped out.
One of them pointed directly at Amara.
Then he shouted something that made her blood run cold.
"She's his daughter. Take her alive."
