She Adopted 5 Boys Nobody Wanted — 27 Years Later, They Did Something She Never Expected

Gloria Adebayo was 35 when life tested her strength. After five years of marriage and multiple failed fertility treatments, her husband walked away — no explanation, just a short note on the kitchen table:
“I can’t do this anymore. I’m sorry.”

The silence that followed was deafening. Gloria battled loneliness, shame, and the heavy weight of dreams unfulfilled. But she wasn’t the kind of woman to stay down for long.

In 1997, during a volunteer shift at a local child welfare center in Lagos, she met a set of brothers — five boys, all under the age of 10, abandoned by their relatives after the death of their parents. No one wanted to adopt them because they came as a group. And so, they stayed… waiting.

Something in Gloria’s heart stirred.

She didn’t have the resources. She didn’t have a husband. But she had love — so much love, and she knew it wasn’t meant to stay locked up in her heart.

One by one, she brought them home. First Segun, then Tunde, then the twins, Ikenna and Ifeanyi, and finally, baby Chuka. Raising them wasn’t easy — there were hospital visits, school fees, tears, and teenage drama. But there was also laughter, dancing in the rain, and Sunday mornings filled with jollof rice and gospel music.

Years passed. The boys grew. One became a civil engineer. Another started a non-profit. One moved abroad and became a teacher. Two others joined the police force. But they all remained close to home… and close to Mama Gloria.

In December 2024, on her 62nd birthday, they gathered in her small compound — and surprised her with a key.

A brand-new house. Bought and built by all five of them.

“We know you never had much,” Segun said, holding her trembling hands. “But you gave us everything. You gave us a home when we were forgotten. And now, it’s our turn.”

Gloria couldn’t speak. The woman who once cried herself to sleep wondering if she’d ever be called “Mama” now sat surrounded by five grown men calling her “The greatest mother in the world.”

She didn’t just adopt five boys.
She raised five kings.

“Ndigbo Must Not Trade Their Votes in Advance of 2027

By Rt. Hon. Linus Okorie, FCA

A recent report published by The Nation (May 21, 2025) quotes the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, as saying that “all Southeast governors, irrespective of political affiliation, are united in support of President Tinubu” and that plans are underway for a regional political summit to endorse the President for a second term. This public declaration, while cloaked in the language of unity and development, is nothing short of a political ambush, an attempt to pre-sell the votes and conscience of the Southeast in exchange for power proximity and patronage.

At a time when the Southeast is grappling with deep-seated injustices and marginalization, such proclamations are tone-deaf, dangerous, and profoundly disrespectful to the sensibilities of our people. What have we gained that merits such sweeping endorsement?

Our youth were systematically sidelined in the NELFund school selection process. Thousands of Igbo candidates were caught in a JAMB result glitch that has yet to be fairly resolved. The Southeast remains glaringly absent from critical national bodies like the Presidential Population Committee and the National Gas Master Plan. Most notably, the unjustifiable and prolonged incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu continues to cast a long shadow over the region, sustaining the economic paralysis inflicted by the Monday sit-at-home syndrome.

In the face of these realities, any conversation about political endorsement is not only premature, it is unconscionable.

The Minister’s justification, citing federal road projects and infrastructure efforts, cannot whitewash the longstanding neglect and systemic exclusion the region has suffered. While infrastructural development is welcome, it is not a gift. It is a constitutional obligation of the federal government delivered in far greater quantum in President’s Southwest region. It is not a bargaining chip to trade for forced loyalty.

The attempt to sell the narrative that the Igbo political establishment has thrown its weight behind President Tinubu is also factually misleading. In the 2023 elections, the Southeast overwhelmingly voted for Mr. Peter Obi, who captured over 90% of the regional vote. That choice was driven by principle, not partisanship. The Igbo people rallied behind a candidate who represented competence, equity, and a new Nigeria—not because of ethnicity, but because of merit and trust.

That movement of conscience has not faded. It cannot be erased by media stunts, political summits, or hollow declarations.

Let it be clear that the future of Ndigbo is not for auction. Any summit that purports to speak on behalf of our people without their direct mandate is illegitimate. Should such a summit go ahead, the people must rise in defiance of its resolutions. Our destiny cannot be decided in a hotel conference room. It belongs to us—in every town, village, and family.

I therefore call on the people of the Southeast, both at home and across the diaspora, to take their future into their own hands. Ignore the posturing. Reject the deception. Organize in your communities, your churches, your marketplaces, and your social networks. Build alliances, raise awareness, and prepare to vote your conscience in 2027. Most importantly, be ready to defend your votes.

Democracy is about people power, not political scheming. The votes of Ndigbo are not reserved for any party or candidate. They will be earned, through justice, through inclusiveness, and through performance.

I also call on the governors of the Southeast and other leaders, to resist any coercion into premature endorsement. You were elected to serve your people, not to trade away their political rights.
If there should be any Igbo leaders summit, it should be on securing a political solution for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and putting an end to the age-long marginalization of Ndigbo.

Let 2027 be a turning point for our region, not in surrender, but in strength. Let it be a time when the Igbo voice is heard not in whispers of resignation, but in a thunder of resolve.

Our votes are not for sale. Our conscience is not negotiable. Our future is not for trade.

PRESS STATEMENT BY HIS EXCELLENCY, SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO, ON TINUBU'S PLEA TO REJOIN APC AND THE FUTURE OF NIGERI...
17/05/2025

PRESS STATEMENT BY HIS EXCELLENCY, SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO, ON TINUBU'S PLEA TO REJOIN APC AND THE FUTURE OF NIGERIA’S POLITICS

1. Fellow Nigerians, I come before you today to address certain political developments that have stirred national attention, particularly regarding my interactions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

2. I wish to state clearly and unequivocally that President Tinubu personally reached out to me on multiple occasions, urging me to return to the APC fold.

3. He called me directly and made several overtures, both in private and through mutual contacts, in a bid to lure me back to a party that I once helped build but ultimately had to leave due to its departure from principle and justice.

4. During one of our conversations, President Tinubu assured me that all conditions I may have for returning would be met without hesitation. He said, and I quote, "All terms will be fulfilled; all conditions will be like pupils in your hands.”

5. Despite the flattering promises, I made it crystal clear to him that I would rather quit politics entirely than return to the APC, a party that has inflicted immense hardship on Nigerians.

6. I am a man of conviction, and I do not take political decisions lightly. My refusal to rejoin APC is rooted in principle, patriotism, and the love I have for this country and its struggling citizens.

7. The APC government, both under Buhari and now under Tinubu, has failed to address the core challenges confronting Nigerians: insecurity, hunger, youth unemployment, economic decay, and worsening corruption.

8. Let me remind Nigerians that politics must never be about positions or power-sharing—it must be about service, integrity, and delivering real change.

9. I cannot in good conscience return to a party whose ideology is now based on personal interest, betrayal of the masses, and governance by propaganda.

10. As far as I am concerned, the APC has lost moral ground and historical relevance in rescuing Nigeria from its many woes.

11. My political journey has never been about myself—it has always been about building a better future for all Nigerians, especially the youth and the downtrodden.

12. That is why I am working closely with like-minded patriots across the country to form a broad-based political movement that will challenge the status quo in 2027.

13. This movement will not just be about winning elections. It will be about uprooting the politics of deception and replacing it with one of hope, vision, and action.

14. We shall galvanize Nigerians, especially the youth, into a united force that will peacefully and democratically bring an end to the Tinubu government through the ballot box.

15. We will form a movement that transcends ethnicity, religion, and region—because the suffering of Nigerians knows no tribe or faith.

16. Let me warn those in power today: Nigerians are watching. The suffering is real. The hunger is real. The insecurity is real. And in 2027, they will speak loud and clear.

17. No amount of political maneuvering, propaganda, or elite bargains will stop the will of the people when the time comes.

18. I encourage all those who believe in justice, equity, and competent leadership to prepare and join hands as we lay the foundation for a new Nigeria.

19. Our goal is not just to defeat APC in 2027, but to rebuild Nigeria from the ruins it has been plunged into by years of failed leadership.

20. To President Tinubu and those urging me to return to APC, I say thank you, but my loyalty is to Nigeria, not to political parties that have failed her. I remain committed to the cause of a better, stronger, and united Nigeria

Dear son,

Sign of low-intelligence woman?

She treats her beauty like it's an achievement and her body like it’s currency.

She’ll disrespect the man who respects her, and chase the man who devalues her....just because he “feels like a challenge.”

She lives for attention, not intention.
She’s mastered selfies, but failed at self-awareness.

A smart woman builds empires. A foolish one builds a following and loses her soul.

SOMETHING SHOCKING HAPPENED TODAY.

I went to Air-force base in Ikeja today to see a colleague. So when I was going, I enter a bus to oshodi,

When the car moved , I asked the conductor how much "He said 500" I said I paid but I paid 300naira while coming, why the sudden new high price?? And he started abusing and calling me Oloriburuku, ashawo, you don't have money you dey enter motor.😳

People in the bus were surprised and started wondering if he knows me before or we have personal issues.😀

At that moment, I was already boiling inside me😡 but I tried as much as I can to control my emotions and remain calm.🤦🏼‍♀️

After everything the driver intervened and calmed situation. 🙏

When we got to Oshodi, the conductor jumped out of the bus (the way they use to) and he immediately slumped on the ground 😳.

Knowing that something is wrong, I rushed to apply CPR on him but he wasn't responding, so the driver rushed him to the hospital, which I and of the passengers followed him.

When we got to the hospital, the doctor checked him and said he had a heart attack and his pulse stopped before we came. 💔

We sympathize with the driver and went our separate ways.🥺

As I got home, my head was full of different thoughts,🤔 "What if I had threatening him? What if I reacted when he was abusing me.?🙆

One thing we all should learn from this is how to control our emotions no matter the provocation.✍️

No matter the provocation, don't beat or threaten anyone, you can doesn't mean you should, not everybody is alive out there‼️

There are many walking co**se out there looking for who will klll them, learn from this so that you won't become a victim. 👮👮👮

Enugu Govt Seals Landmark Investment Deal with Lion Business Park

… We guarantee your business, hurry and invest, Mbah urges diasporans

The Enugu State Government and the Lion Business Park Limited have sealed an investment deal with the signing of Novation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a world-class industrial and commercial hub within the Enugu Industrial Park Free Trade Zone.

This was even as the state governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to guaranteeing businesses through the provisions of infrastructure and enabling environment for ease of doing business, urging diaspora investors to turn their capital into Enugu State for a high return on investment, RoI.

Signing the MOU alongside top management of Lion Business Park Ltd in Enugu on Tuesday, the firm’s chairman, Dr. Okechukwu Mbonu, commended the governor for his visionary leadership, developmental strides and achievements the administration had recorded within a short period in office.

Highlighting the objective of the deal, Mbonu stressed that the company was poised to develop industrial and commercial hub that would catalyze trade, industry, economic growth and create jobs for the youth population.

“This strategic collaboration aligns with Your Excellency’s visionary economic agenda to grow the GDP of Enugu State from $4.4 billion to $30 billion (US Dollars) for the overall benefit of the people of Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole.

“It is therefore, a watershed moment with this renewed partnership between Lion Business Park and Enugu State Government. It is indeed a case of a promise made and fulfilled and I have no doubt that you will continue to fulfill your promises to the people of Enugu State,” the chairman added.

Mbonu, who expressed optimism about the investment, said the project would leverage on the incentives associated with businesses in a Free Trade Zone to attract foreign direct investments, promote human capital, innovation and technology development to create jobs.

Calling on the business community, private sector leaders and global investors to maximize the perfect opportunities the park presented to them to be part of the economic revolution, Mbonu added that the project had immense benefits that spurred beyond the state, the South East zone to Nigeria at large.

Speaking, Governor Mbah reiterated the administration’s economic blueprint, which is to grow the economy and make the state the number one destination for investors in the country, saying the promise to inspire exponential growth could only be possible with investment deals such as the one executed with the Lion Business Park.

“The Enugu State Government has committed to increase their stake in this going concern by providing all the necessary infrastructure that is required in order for this business park to be fully functional. We see the business park as food that is ready. Because if we are to start the process of building a business park, we know what it will take. Procuring your licenses; getting the free trade license, getting the dry port license because we have an inland port also at the Lion Business Park,” he noted.

While harping that the location of the park was a product of strategy, innovation and due diligence conducted by a team of economic experts in the administration, the governor said, “The business park is strategically located. It is three hours from Onne Sea Port in Rivers State, less than two hours to Asaba in Delta State, and less than 25 minutes to Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. We couldn't ask for a business park at a better location”.

He assured that the administration would continue to make the state attractive to investors to set up their industries by providing the right incentives such as electricity, paved roads, and other infrastructure.

While appreciating host communities in the state for their support, the governor enjoined them to continue to cooperate with investors.
