I went to visit my friend in his house. His girlfriend was around and she was with a friend

I immediately knew what this was

A matchmake or a blind date setup

I smiled

My friend has been on my neck to find a girlfriend. In fact, he has made it his mission to get me hooked but Lagos girls has shown me shege since I relocated from Port Harcourt

I still have ptsd from my last relationship so I wasn’t taking any chances

Immediately I sat down, his babe introduced her friend to me as Cynthia, and as a gentleman I initiated small talks and soon we were chatting and laughing like two besties

I’m a great conversationalist so holding a conversation with a woman has never been an issue for me

After some minutes, I realized Cynthia is actually my spec and so I decided to ask for her number and shoot my shot officially

All of a sudden we heard a scream at the back of the house as I was about collecting number

Quickly, both of us ran towards the noise and we saw my friends babe running up and down

What happened?

I realized my friend wanted to k3ill a life chicken and it escaped and ran towards his babe so she screamed

The chicken was loose and was running and flying everywhere, the little boys in the compound started running after it but the chicken was showing skills of Usan bolt. None of them could catch it

It will run towards one of the kids and when they lunge forward, it will fly away and face another direction. It was a funny sight to behold. Over six young guys couldn’t catch a small chicken

In one swift move, Cynthia leaped from my side and flew towards the chicken

Both I and the chicken were taken by surprise, and in one classic move, she zig zagged towards the chicken, confusing it and in a flash she dived forward and caught it by the neck

She broke the neck with her hands. Killing the chicken instantly and handing it over to my friend who was clapping and smiling at her

Then she turned to my friend and said this Xmas, if he has plans to k!ll chicken or even slaughter goat, he should call her.

In that instant, all the love and affection building in my heart for Cynthia evaporated immediately. I immediately saw my fellow man with muscles not a woman with curves.

What kind of girl is this, firstly you can catch fowl and even k!ll it with your bare hands then to make matters worse, you can slaughter goat too. Me that is a man I can’t even keill lizard not to talk of goat

As soon as Cynthia went in to wash her hands, I just nervously excused myself, lied to my friend that I’ll be back to eat the chicken and ran to my car

He has been calling me since and I’ve been ignoring his calls

I swear if this guy gives my number to Cynthia, we will have problems. I will give his number to the female bouncer in the club we usually go to on Friday night.

Any girl that can catch and ki|| fowl or slaughter goat with her hands, is an assa3ssin not a girlfriend material.

My mom and the principal talked and they
finalized every.

I was set to come to school the next day ,I
was happy , very happy becuz my eyes caught

The next day after the morning assembly ,
before I could even get to know my class
mates, a senior approached me and told me
that the principal was call me ,

The Blind Girl (Change):

There was a blind girl who hated herself purely for the fact she was blind. The only person she didn’t hate was her loving boyfriend, as he was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry him.


One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her – now she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

Moral: When our circumstances change, so does our mind. Some people may not be able to see the way things were before, and might not be able to appreciate them. There are many things to take away from this story, not just one.

This is one of the inspirational short stories that left me speechless.
