App and I must say it's been fun so far

Though I learned the pronunciation of some Arabic words, I now understand that "Wa" means "And"

I am also refreshing my Arabic writing skills.

It's not too late for a May dump!!

The highlights of the month of May for me

I met an amazing group of ladies !

I battled SQL and won (slightly), though 😆

I attended complyfest with my village 😉

I attended and it was fun. I met amazing people and eventually went to a cricket field for the first time! 😀

Had a fun time out, i truly deserved it as this month was lonnnnnggggg!!

This month, I actually took my healthy eating to the next level, and I am super proud of myself.

And most of all I had My first Official speaking engagement on the effective implementation of the ISO 27001 standard !!!! I now truly understand it when people say you don't know what you know until your knowledge is put to a test. Wow, it was great and fun.

I obtained some sort of life balance this month, and the goal is to sustain the balance

I attended the COMPLYFEST event yesterday and I must say it was an amazing event

2 things stood out for me, which was the advent of AI in the financial sector and the AML (anti- money laundering) solutions.

The event talked on the recent CBN Baseline standards for automation of anti-money laundering solutions and I realized that the Baselines may have been too generic as I think it should be a more specialized baseline and maybe different to accommodate the difference in the financial ecosystem of commercial banks, fintechs and other financial institutions as some of the Baselines cannot be complied with/to by fintechs.

I am waiting for SEC to drop their own Baseline Standards too very soon though 😉 but I hope it addresses the lapses we are currently witnessing in the current CBN baseline standards.

And oh it further emphasized the need for collaboration in the financial sector in terms of information sharing as it seems every financial institution just wants to be the best and not the entire sector performing at optimum together hence Nigeria being on the "gray list".

A new word/phrase I learned yesterday was - PEP meaning Politically Exposed Persons - apparently there is or there should be a database of persons exposed or in politics in Nigeria.
