Appeasement negotiations with an aggressor do not work. History gave us that lesson when the UK tried it with Hi**er.
On 30 September 1938, UK Prime Minister: Chamberlain allowed Hi**er to keep territories he invaded by signing the Munich Agreement, ceding the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to N**i Germany without Czechoslovakia's consent.
Chamberlain was so impressed that he stepped off the plane in the UK, waving a piece of paper, boasting and proclaiming about getting Hi**er to sign off on the Munich Agreement that guaranteed lasting peace deal with Hi**er.
On March 15, 1939, Hi**er invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia and installed a pro-German puppet administration.
On September 1, 1939, Hi**er invaded Poland, igniting the European phase of World War II.
On September 7, 1940, Hi**er launched his Blitzkrieg (Lightning War) by unleashing relentless and devastating aerial bombings on Britain.
The meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska about Russia’s War of Aggression against Ukraine without Ukraine’s consent or participation, will be a repeat of the meeting between Chamberlain and Hi**er.
Putin is coming to Alaska that the US bought from Russia in order for the US President to give Russia territory it does not own or control. Putin thrives on historical symbols and the symbolism here is unmistakable.
1 - This meeting is being presented in Russian propaganda as an equal meeting of great powers.
2 - It shifts the focus from Ukraine’s fight for freedom to a compromise narrative with the aggressor.
3 - Putin’s proposal to stop the war in exchange for Donbas is not peace — it is a reward for aggression and war crimes.
4 - Losing part of Donetsk region will dismantle the fortified defense lines Ukraine has built since 2014 thereby opening a direct path for Russia to strike further west into Ukraine.
5 - There are no security guarantees on offer. Russia will simply get a pause to prepare for its next stage of aggression.
Trump has already shown his ultimate weakness. He threatened Russia with “two more weeks” multiple times and set an August 8 deadline.
Today is August 9. The deadline passed and he has done nothing. No consequences against Russia, no action, just empty words. The ultimatum was a bluff, which strengthens the Russia’s position by proving it can ignore any threats from the US.
History has a cruel way of repeating itself when its lessons are ignored. In 1938, appeasement led directly to a World War. In 2025, it could lead to the annihilation of humanity due to Nuclear War after the emboldening of Russia to launch further attacks into Europe and the emboldening of China to attack Taiwan provokes World War III.
