I made this post, and many of my fellow Arsenal fans called me names. But finally, it's heading towards that direction. Atlético Madrid will finally sell JuliÑn Álvarez to Barcelona come January or the next summer transfer window. And finally, Arsenal has missed out on the deal.

Jesus could become a very good signing for Barça, but they are gambling on a player Arsenal have already decided is expendable.

And if Barcelona eventually come back for Álvarez, then Jesus becomes the bridge rather than the destination.

For Arsenal, though? I’d take the exit. Free up the wages, clear the pathway and move on.
