No man in his right senses wants to ever marry a fat woman...
These were the words her cousin told her and claimed it was the reason behind her not getting married and that’s the statement flying around today.
Sadly, many young women have believed it.
Believed it so deeply that they’ve started doing desperate things, things that will leave scars, both on their bodies and in their futures.
Today, you’ll find beautiful young ladies swallowing every tea that promises weight loss in two weeks, three weeks, one month.
You’ll find them popping slimming pills, visiting unqualified clinics, trusting every so-called “magician” who claims they can "sn**ch their waist" or "melt their fat overnight."
And why?
Because somewhere along the line, the world made them feel like their bodies were not enough.
Like being plus-size was a crime. Like they needed to apologize for existing the way they are.
But I have a question for you:
When did having a fuller body become a sin?
When did we lose sight of the truth that human beings are different?
That not everyone will be slim, not everyone will be tall, not everyone will have the "perfect" figure society keeps advertising?
We are different because that's the beauty of humanity.
Not every plus-size woman became that way because of laziness.
Some became plus-size because of childbirth.
Some, because of hormones they can't control.
Some, because of health conditions.
Some, because that's simply how their genes were designed.
But society doesn’t ask.
It simply points fingers. It simply mocks. It simply shames.
And sadly, many beautiful, intelligent, talented women, have fallen into the trap of trying to fix what was never broken.
They've risked their lives on dangerous surgeries.
Some didn’t even make it back alive.
All for a world that still finds something else to criticize even after you change.
Dear young woman, hear this:
Your body is not your shame.
Your value is not measured by the number on a scale.
Your worth is not determined by the size of your waist.
Yes, health is important. Yes, fitness is good.
But it must come from a place of love, not shame.
It must be a journey of becoming healthier, not a punishment for existing.
Work on yourself because you love yourself, not because you are afraid you won't be loved.
At the end of the day, a man who truly loves you will not just love your size, he will love your soul.
The man who sees you, really sees you, will not measure you with society’s tape.
He will see the beauty in your smile, the kindness in your heart, the strength in your mind.
So please, stop punishing your body because of someone else's shallow standards.
Stop trading your future health for temporary acceptance.
Stop believing the lie that your body must shrink before your worth can grow.
You are already enough.
Let your transformation be for your health, your happiness, your wholeness, not for cheap validation.
Self-love looks better on you than any body size the world demands.
And always remember this.
Share this to any plus sized woman you know.
