NEVER DO THESE THINGS NO MATTER HOW YOU LOVE A MAN

Love is beautiful. Yeah…

But one mistake many women make is believing that loving a man means losing themselves completely for him.

Sis, love him, support him, pray for him, stand by him…

But please, never do these things:

1️⃣ Never abandon your own life because of a man:
Don’t stop chasing your dreams, building your career, learning skills, or improving yourself because you’re in love.

A good man should add to your growth, not become the reason your life stands still.

2️⃣ Never tolerate repeated disrespect in the name of love:
Some women endure insults, humiliation, constant cheating, and emotional abuse because they don’t want to lose a man.

My sister, love without respect will eventually break your heart.

3️⃣ Never make a man your entire world:
Your happiness should not depend on whether he called, texted, smiled, or posted you today.

Have your own purpose, your own peace, and your own identity.

A relationship should be part of your life, not your entire life.

4️⃣ Never keep covering up bad behaviour:
Many women become personal spokespersons for men who keep hurting them.

“He didn’t mean it.”
“He’s just stressed.”
“He’s going through a lot.”

One day stress, two days stress, every day stress.
Please be honest with yourself.
Love should not make you blind.

5️⃣ Never lose your self-respect trying to keep a man:
Begging, chasing, competing with other women, accepting crumbs of affection, and lowering your standards won’t make the right man love you more.

In fact, the more you lose your dignity, the less some people value you.

6️⃣ Never depend on him for everything financially:
This one may sound harsh, but Nigerian women need to hear it.

No matter how caring your husband or boyfriend is, try to have something you can call your own.

A small business.
A skill.
A source of income.

Because life can change unexpectedly.

7️⃣ Never ignore red flags because you’re afraid of starting over:
Many women saw the signs but convinced themselves that marriage would change everything.

Sometimes love sees what it wants to see.
Wisdom sees what is actually there.
A relationship built on denial rarely ends in peace.

See ehh, at the end of the day, love your man deeply.
Support him genuinely.
Respect him wholeheartedly.

But never sacrifice your peace, dignity, future, and self-worth in the process.

Dear women, love a man with your heart, but never switch off your brain while doing it.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TEMPORARY RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES AND PERMANENT RED FLAGS 💔💔

Temporary relationship struggles are problems that can improve with effort, honestly, maturity and time.
Permanent red flags are deeper unhealthy patterns that continue hurting the relationship, especially when the person refuses to change.

HERE'S THE DIFFERENCE

📍TEMPORARY RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES

These are different but workable issues when both people are willing to grow.

EXAMPLES:

* Poor communication
* Stress from work, finances, distance or family pressure
* Fear of valnerability
* Occasional misunderstanding
* Different love languages
* Emotional immaturity that the person is actively trying to improve
* Conflict that leads to learning and change
* Temporary emotional distance during hard periods

SIGNS IT MAY BE TEMPORARY

* They listen when you express pain
* They apologize sincerely and try to improve
* Problems are discussed, not ignored forever
* You still feel respected overall
* Both people are making effort
* Trust is not constantly being destroyed
* Bad moments are not the entire relationship

Healthy couples can struggle sometimes without the relationship being unhealthy

📍PERMANENT RED FLAGS

These are repeated harmful patterns that damage your emotional safety, trust, peace or self worth

EXAMPLES

* Repeated lying
* Cheating without true accountability
* Manipulation or gaslighting
* Emotional, verbal, physical or financial abuse
* Constant disrespect
* Extreme control or possessiveness
* Silent treatment used to punish you
* Lack of empathy for your feelings
* Repeated broken promises with no real change
* Refusing responsibility for harmful behavior
* Making you feel worthless, fearful or emotionally unstable

📍SIGNS IT MAY BE A PERMANENT RED FLAGS:

* The same issue keeps repeating despite many conversations
* Their words never match their actions
* You constantly feel anxious, drained or emotionally unsafe
* You are always the one adjusting or sacrificing
* They only change temporarily after you threaten to leave
* You feel yourself losing confidence, peace or identity
* Deep down, you keep hoping they will become a different person

📍ONE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IS THIS:

Temporary struggles hurt the relationship
Permanent red flags slowly hurt you.

A healthy relationship should not leave you constantly confused, fearful, emotionally starved or mentally exhausted

Sometimes people stay too long because they focus on the person's potential instead of their consistent behavior. Real change is shown through repeated actions over time not promises alone.

15 signs you are dating a matured man

Dating a mature man often feels calm, intentional, and emotionally safe not confusing or draining.
Here are some strong signs:

1. He communicates clearly . You don't have to guess how he feels or where you stand. He speaks honestly, listens well, and handles difficult conversations respectfully.

2. He is consistent . His words match his actions. He doesn't disappear, make endless excuses, or give mixed signals.

3. He respects your boundaries . A mature man understands that love includes respect. He won't pressure you emotionally, financially, or physically.

4. He takes responsibility for his mistakes .Instead of blaming everyone else, he apologizes sincerely and works on improving.

5. He supports your growth .He wants to see you succeed emotionally, financially, spiritually, and professionally not compete with you.

6. He handles conflict calmly .He doesn't insult, manipulate, shout unnecessarily, or threaten to leave during every disagreement.

7. He is emotionally stable . He knows how to control anger, express emotions properly, and communicate without childish games.

8. He values peace over ego . Being "right" all the time is not more important to him than understanding and protecting the relationship.

9. He plans for the future . A mature man thinks long-term. He talks seriously about goals, finances, commitment, family, and stability.

10. He respects women genuinely. Not just you the way he speaks about other women, his mother, exes, coworkers, and service staff says a lot.

11. He gives reassurance naturally . You feel secure, not constantly anxious about
losing him or questioning his intentions.

12. He has self-discipline .Whether it's finances, habits, work, or relationships, he understands control and responsibility.

13. He doesn't play mind games . No unnecessary jealousy tactics, manipulation, silent treatment, or attention-seeking behavior.

14. He protects your dignity . Even during arguments, he avoids embarrassing or disrespecting you publicly or privately.

15. You feel more peaceful than confused . One of the biggest signs of maturity is emotional peace. Healthy love usually feels steady, not chaotic.

2. Keep Promises to Yourself
If you say you'll do something, do it. Trust in yourself grows through action.

3. Take Care of Your Mind and Body
Rest, eat well, pray, exercise, and protect your peace.

HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF AS A WOMAN BEFORE MARRIAGE

There’s a difference.
Some people enter relationships already empty, already confused about who they are, already depending on love to give them identity. And honestly, that’s where many problems begin.

Before marriage, build you first.
1. Know Who You Are Without a Relationship
Can you enjoy your own company?
Can you make decisions without waiting for validation?
A woman who doesn’t know herself can easily disappear inside someone else’s life. One day she wakes up and realizes all her dreams were replaced with sacrifice.
Marriage should add to your identity, not erase it.

2. Learn Financial Discipline
Not every woman must become rich before marriage. But every woman should understand money.
• how to save
• how to budget
• how to earn something for yourself
• how to avoid depending on people for every little
thing
There’s a confidence that comes from knowing you can stand on your own feet if life changes unexpectedly.

3. Heal Before You Carry Pain Into Marriage
Unhealed wounds don’t disappear because someone loves you.
Childhood trauma, insecurity, anger, fear of abandonment, jealousy, low self-esteem... these things quietly affect relationships.
Sometimes people think:
“When I marry, I’ll finally feel complete.”
But marriage magnifies who you already are.
If there’s chaos inside, it eventually shows outside too.

4. Build Your Mind
Beauty may attract attention, but wisdom sustains respect.
Read books. Learn communication. Understand emotions. Develop skills. Improve how you think.
A woman who can think deeply, speak wisely, and carry herself with confidence stands out naturally.

5. Don’t Lose Yourself Trying to Impress People
Social media pressures women a lot.
Perfect body. Perfect lifestyle. Perfect relationship.
Meanwhile many people posting “perfect love” are secretly unhappy.
Build a real life, not just an attractive image online.

6. Learn How to Be Alone Without Feeling Lonely
This one is hard for many people.
Some stay in unhealthy relationships simply because they fear being alone.
But learning to enjoy peace, solitude, and your own growth changes everything. You stop begging for love that drains you.

7. Protect Your Standards
Not every attention is love.
Not every man that speaks sweet words has good intentions.
Know your values early:
• What can you tolerate?
• What can’t you tolerate?
• What kind of life do you want?
• What kind of partner aligns with that life?
Without standards, emotions can make people ignore obvious red flags.

8. Develop a Life Outside Romance
Have goals.
Have purpose.
Have hobbies.
Have friendships.
Have dreams that belong to you.
A healthy relationship feels better when two complete people come together, not when one person becomes the entire world of the other.

9. Learn Emotional Maturity
Not every disagreement is disrespect.
Not every correction is an attack.
Learn:
• communication
• patience
• accountability
• self-control
• listening
These things matter more in marriage than expensive weddings.

10. Understand That Marriage Is Not the Finish Line
A lot of women feel pressured like marriage is the ultimate achievement.
It’s not.
Marriage is part of life, not the whole meaning of life.

A woman with peace, wisdom, purpose, dignity, and self-respect already has something valuable before any ring enters the picture.
And maybe that’s the real foundation.
Not rushing to be chosen.
But becoming the kind of woman who also chooses wisely.
