Throwback to when Memphis Depay did it all in the Paulista final.
Corinthians were playing Palmeiras and protecting a narrow lead late on. In the 90th minute, Memphis Depay took the ball to the corner to kill time and then stood on it with both feet.
That single moment caused chaos. Players rushed in, tempers flared, cards were handed out and extra time was added. Palmeiras completely lost their heads.
Corinthians held on and were crowned champions.
Huge night for Memphis too. Not just another trophy, but thanks to a clause in his contract, he reportedly took home almost all of the prize money, with a guaranteed $800,000 net for winning any title.
