🌿 Reflect on Your Time Before It Slips Away 🌿
Dear brothers and sisters,
Have you ever paused to reflect on how quickly time passes? One moment you are a child, and before you know it, you are looking back at years that can never return. Every day that ends is a page turned, never to be written on again.
We often say, “I will change tomorrow,” or “I will seek Allah’s forgiveness later.” But what if later never comes? What if tomorrow is the day your soul returns to your Lord? Will you be ready to meet Him with a heart that has turned to Him sincerely, or with regrets about time wasted on what does not benefit you in this life or the next?
Allah has blessed us with time, but it is one of the most easily wasted blessings. Time is not just minutes ticking on a clock; it is your life, your deeds, your chance to build your place in Jannah. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your preoccupation, and your life before your death.” (Hakim)
Reflect deeply: How are you using your time? Are you using it to get closer to Allah, to improve your character, to help others, to seek beneficial knowledge, and to prepare for the day you will stand alone before your Creator?
Don’t let today slip away without sincere repentance, without a prayer prayed on time, without a word of kindness to your family, without a moment of Quran recitation, and without remembering Allah with your tongue and heart.
Time is a gift, and you are the one who decides how to use it. May Allah make us among those who use our time wisely, who die upon faith, and who are gathered on the Day of Judgment among the righteous. Ameen.
