To live a purposeful life means living a life that aligns with your values, passion, goals and making intentional decisions to achieve them all while fulfilling the plans God has for you.
It also means by being focused and determined in your actions, relationships and pursuit in fulfilling God's plan for your your life.

SOCIAL ETIQUETTE: Etiquette means "good manners ,decency, protocol, respect, courtesy and politeness.
It also means polite behavior within a culture society or professional group. It makes or help one behave socially responsible in a way different from animals.

When someone knows how to behave or follow respected rules for behaviour , we say such person has good etiquette or good manners. The Bible equally advises us to apply decency and orderliness in whatever we do. why ?

Let's break it down

2. To curb impatience and disrespect for one another

SOME SOCIAL ETIQUETTE
1. When invited to any social gathering , do not be in a haste to take the front seat/high table until you are bring up.

2. Do not call someone more than two times continuously on phone. if they do not pick up, presume they have something important doing.

3. Return money that you have borrowed even before the lender/borrower remember to ask for it. it shows integrity and character. same goes to other petty/minor things like matches, pen, umbrella etc

4. When invited on a date or invited out , Always be modest. be careful not to order expensive dish or things. do not use the opportunity to take advantage of your host. Also do not take your friends along except on request.

5.If you do take a bus/taxi/Uber/okada with a friend, colleague, neighbour and he or she pays , try to pay the next time.

6. Never comment negatively on someone's appearance in the public.
e.g make ups, hairstyle or clothing etc this berates them.

7. When someone shows you a photo or anything on their phone, do not swipe or scroll left , right or further. you never know what's next. it may be an Invasion on their privacy.

8. If a friend or colleague tells you they have a doctor's appointment, do not ask or probe further.just say " hope all is well? do not pressure them to have them say what they do not want to say.

9. Do not be a busy-body in other people's matter

10. Be mindful of reckless slangs, be a gentleman and lady and avoid improper or indecent dressing in the public.

7. They always try to be in competition with and make you feel they are better than you.

8. They are not trustworthy, consistent and not dependable.

9. They leak secrets about your life and discredit you , doubt you and hold you in low esteem.

10. They rejoice when bad things happens to you , your pains gives them joy.

11. Unfriendly friend will never appreciate all your kind gestures. they have sense of entitlement and ability to blackmail your efforts. they are very manipulative.

WAYS TO BE SAVED FROM UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS!

1. Be prayerful at all time.

2. Be secretive and watchful

3. Be selective in the companies you keep.

4. Be vigilant

5. Be ahead of them always in your decision making.

6. Learn not to trust in man

7. Put your trust only on God your creator.

8. Set boundaries clearly. Communicate what you are comfortable with and what you are not.

9. Evaluate your friendship with them, whether nourishing or toxic.

10. Distance yourself and limit time spent with them or take a break.

11. Surround yourself with positivity. spend time with people who uplift you and support you.

INTRODUCTION: Hope is a a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen. However, when there is an uncomfortable or prolonged delay, weariness and heaviness of heart may set in. Sometimes, while in this valley of life , we fast , pray , work Smart and even sow seeds of faith in our bid to find solution, yet there might still be delay.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCEd DELAYED HOPE:
1. Abraham and Serah as well as Hannah waited for so long for the fruit of the womb. (read Genesis 15:2 , 1 Samuel 1:2)

2. David hoped painfully for deliverance from king Saul and his enemies (read 1 Samuel 19:18 , Psalm 3:1)

3. Joseph had a dream that he would be great but was thrown into the pit. He was sold into slavery and imprisoned ( read Genesis 37:5)

4. Job lost his children , business and health suddenly and hope for restoration. ( read Job 1:13-20, 14:7 , 14)

5.Tje children of Israel Laboured and suffered for 430 years in Egypt before God sent Moses to liberate them. ( read Exodus 12:40)

6. The widow of the indebted prophet was exhausted until she cried to the prophet ( 2 Kings 4:1)

At the end of the day , God changed their stories:
1. Abraham and Serah were visited by God and they got Issac. Hannah got Samuel.
(read Genesis 21:1-5 , 1 Samuel 1:20)

2. David later got his deliverance and even became a king ( read 2 Samuel 6:21)

3. Joseph's dream became a reality. He became the ruler over Egypt and his brothers bowed to him. ( read Genesis 42:6-7)

4. God blessed the end of Job more than his beginning
( read Job 42:10)

5. The Israelites eventually got delivered from the Egyptians ( read Exodus 14:26)

6. The widow of indebtedness received divine assistance and visitation
( read 2kings 4:1-7)

WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING!
1. Focus on the aspect of your life that is working and give thanks to God rather than being sad over what you are yet to receive.

2. Be optimistic about your long-awaiting miracle.
(Psalm 27:13) wait quietly for salvation of the Lord (Lamentation 3:25-26)

3. Remember that God makes all things beautiful in His own time. God's time is the best (read Ecclesiastes 3:11)

4. Refuse to respond to discouragement (Mark 10:46-52)

5. Encourage yourself in Lord your God ( 1 Samuel 30:6)

6. Get your heart fixed on your your purpose and aspirations (Nehemiah 4:6)

7. Study the word of God to build your faith (Romans 10:17)

Finally, During your waiting time, be patient and rely on God who is ever faithful.
Hopelessness can lead to weariness and despair. Do not give up on God because He never comes late.

MANAGING DIFFICULT PEOPLE!

Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.

Genesis 13:7-11
7.So disputes broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lot. (At that time Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land.)
8.Finally Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives!
9.The whole countryside is open to you. Take your choice of any section of the land you want, and we will separate. If you want the land to the left, then I’ll take the land on the right. If you prefer the land on the right, then I’ll go to the left.”
10.Lot took a long look at the fertile plains of the Jordan Valley in the direction of Zoar. The whole area was well watered everywhere, like the garden of the Lord or the beautiful land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed S***m and Gomorrah.)
11.Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram.

MANAGING DIFFICULT PEOPLE.
A difficult person may be one who is snobbish, argumentative, quarrelsome, selfish, insensitive or rude.

Difficult people seems to know just how to "push one's button" and stir up trouble. We mean people with certain personality traits or emotional characteristics that makes it difficult for you to relate with them.
These difficult personalities can be found among families and friends, work environment or neighborhood and even in religious places.

Difficult people can take many forms ; however, it is expedient to learn how to manage them.

CATEGORIES OF DIFFICULT PEOPLE YOU NEED TO MANAGE.
There are different types of difficulty people we need to know ways and means to deals with or manage them.

Let's break it down

1. The Downers: Those who always have something bad to say , complain, critize and judge - 2 Samuel 6:20-21.

2. The Better Tanks: They are known as " Know it all". They are arrogant and usually think their opinions is or should be superior on every issue. when they are wrong, they get defensive - 1 Samuel 2:3.

3. The Passives : They are also known as the "push overs". they are not or do not contribute much to any conversation or people around them and let others do the hardwork. -
Luke 10:40.

4. The Snipers: These people are quick attackers. they use rude comments, bitting , mockery or insults that cut people down during interactions - Nehemiah 2:19

5. The Blame Gamers: They are those who shift blames or give excuses for their wrong doings rather than try to resolve a problem - Genesis 3:9-12.

6. The YES-people: They are people who agree to every commitment, and yet rarely deliver. you cannot trust them to follow through - Matthew 21:28-30

7. The NO-people: They are quick to point out why something will not work without even given it a try. they are flexible - 2 Kings 7:1-2.

8.The Dictators: They bully and Intimidate, they are constantly demanding and brutally critical - 2 Chronicles 39:9-15.

9. The Gr***de Person: This are people after a brief period of calm , explode into
unfocused ranting and raging about things that have nothing to do with the present circumstances - Mathew 2:16

10. The Perfectionist: this are people that are unwilling to settle for anything that is not perfect or does not meet extremely high standards.

WAY OUT TO MANAGE THEM.
1. Be calm : Avoid losing your temper - Proverbs 14:29

2. Understand the person's intentions: try to find or identify the person trigger buttons. find out what is Making them act difficult -
1 Thessalonians 5:21

3. Do a background check: Find out how others have been managing or relating with the person - Colossians 4:6

4.Build a rapport: Try to establish a close relationship with the person and learn about their families and character.

5. Escalate to a higher authority for resolution. sometimes, the way to get along with the person may be through the top- down approach - Mathew 18:15-17

6. Apply Godly wisdom: Sometime wisdom demands that you learn how to avoid conflict with a difficult person or know when to walk away.

it is important to know or note that dealing with difficult people is an exercise in patience, love and grace.

SAY NO TO BLAME GAME!

Blame Game means an act of giving excuses at all times or situations in which people try to blame others for something that has happened.
Adam and Even, King Saul and Jonah were typical examples of blame gamers.

The Blame Game signifies accusations exchanged among people who refused to accept responsibility for their failures or for some undesirable events or outcomes or actions.

They shift blames and faults to one another while they paint themselves as flawless.

Let's examine some negative effects of blaming game and learn how to take responsibility for every of our actions instead of passing buck.

Let's break it down

1. We will continue to chase shadow. That's, it will make us leave the main issue and continue to look for excuses that are flimsy. we blame our environment, our boss , the government, our colleagues, friends and families instead of facing the issuesl.

2. It causes stagnation and time wasting. it keeps one on one spot for a long time- Proverbs 22:13, ECC 11:4

3. We developed "NEVER WRONG SYNDROME".
That's we get quick to clearing and defending ourselves of any wrong doing while we see every other person as being at fault- 1 John 1:8 , General 3:12.

4. We will experience mental and spiritual blindness.. That's it will prevent us from seeing clearly as the supposed wrong of others are only seen -
Matthew 7:3-5.

5.We develop hatred unnecessarily because as a blame Gamer , we condemn or speak I'll about person being blamed. Hatred is a terrible sin.

6. Pride and ignorance combined. Pride sets in when we overrated ourselves, it combines with ignorance because we refuse to be sincere with ourselves- Phillipians 2:3

7. Ingratitude :The Blame gamers becomes unappreciative as they believe their benefactor can/should do more -
1 Thessalonians 5:18

8. Bitterness : Blame gamers become offended and allow bitterness to take an evil root in them- Ephesians 4:31, Hebrew 12:15.

9. Destruction of Relationship: it tears relationship through suspicion and a lack of trust - I Samuel 18:8-9

10.Depression: it births unhappiness and despair which can degenerate into depression, I'll health and hopelessness.

Taking responsibility for one's actions or inactions may not be easy but it is worth it in the long run. Hence , we must learn to be sincere and acknowledge our wrongs when we are at fault- 1 king 21:29, Psalm 51:4

We must show high level of personal accountability for our actions and inactions even in the face of failure and shame - 2 Samuel 12:13

Let us ask God to create the right spirit with in us so we can swiftly acknowledge that there is a problem. when a mistake is made or conflict arises.

Identify your role in a blunder and plan on how to avoid a future occurrence - James 1:13-14.

Finally, Stop trading blames , take responsibility for your actions and be accountable.

FINDING GOD IN HARD TIMES!
Bible References:
ISAIAH 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

PSALM 31:14-15
14.But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
15.My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

INTRODUCTION:
In life , you will always experience two very different kinds of tough circumstances. Those we can solve , and those that are simply beyond our capacity.

*The First kind of such circumstance have doable solutions. They are challenging but not overwhelming. Most of us can handle them by being innovative and coming up with solutions.

* The second kind, however is much more difficult , in which the problems are far beyond our abilities and resourcefulness e.g Family warfare, serious medical complication, Marital/emotional problems, business or financial challenges and children in troubles e. t. c.
When we struggle at this level, it looks as if where is God here ? we can pray fervently but hear no answer , it is very hard to have faith when there is no actual solution. we are especially tested when there is no answer but we must endure and be faithful.

KEYS TO FINDING GOD IN HARD TIMES!

Let us know that God uses adversity to not only reveal Himself to us in new ways but also to test our faith , develop us to be Christ-like character in us.

Let's break it down
_
1. Turn to Him and He will sustain you. Psalm 121:1-2 ,22:19. Untill we realise that He (GOD) is the only way and solution out of every difficult times and situation. the earlier the better.

2.Pray earnestly in hard times - Proverbs 18:10, Psalm 56:9. Shout, cry , beg and talk to Him in your closet . He will definitely hear you. He is always close by.

3. Praise Him in your Hard times joyfully - Exodus 15:2, Psalm 34:1. If you have prayed to an extent and no answers, turn it to praise, praise unlock doors that are cumbersome to open.

4. Do not entertain fear, doubt or anxiety in victory.
Have unshaken faith -
Deut 31:6 , Psalm 46:1-3 , Mark 11:24. Luke 12 :25-26. Fear is one of the greatest enemies to your victory. when you continue to entertain it , victory may be delayed or not even visible at all .

5. Be bold and encouraged that your victory is assured - John 16:33. Continue to say it to yourself and act it that you are a Victor.

6. Wait patiently in hard time - Psalm 31:14-15. Believe in Him that you have reported your matter to. He will come at the right and appointed time. He is never late. when you know that , you will have peace.

Conclusion -
Remember hard or tough times don't last but tough people.
