Dear Nigerians, PAY ATTENTION!!

To how Aliko Dangote is exposing everything. I hope you listened to everything he has said?

Can you see how Nigeria is deliberately rubbishing the richest person in africa, who is equally the richest black person on earth?

This is the USD billionaire that many of us view as the “national baby” that must be protected & fed from the national feeding bottle at all cost

This is for those of you that keep shouting “invest in Nigeria.” Guess what? Your sense of optimism & patriotism are misplaced! “If this could happen to Alhaji, who the hell are you?”

Have you seen the number of gray on his head?

I’m not sure the man has slept much since investing a whopping $20 billion to build one of the biggest refineries in the world. Dangote is now regurgitating those uncomfortable truth that only a Peter Obi could spew before now!

Nowadays, Aliko is calling everyone out almost; & it’s sooooo refreshing to see privilege do the unthinkable. Those who have stolen so much & stashed them abroad, are uncomfortable.

What Dangote is doing is called a Crusade, heralded by Peter Obi himself. It starts small, then it blossoms. Can you feel the silence of the EFCC & A*o Rock? Their silence is soooo loud, you can hear everything they are saying.

I like what Aliko is doing. A lone wolf, I almost feel sorry for him. It’s good to see he is the one doing it. He damned privilege & looked it straight in the eye. I’m quite surprised I haven’t seen any form of “solidarity” from his friend Femi Otedola (who is a Bola Tinubu confidant).

So is everything okay with the Fellowship?

There is something quite refreshing about this anti-establishment baritone. The masculinity of it turns me on. From his statement on rent-seeking Nigerian elites, to oil theft, to Mallam Farouk’s $5 million tuition for his children in Switzerland. Everything ties into the zeitgeist of this era. The mood is liberating, yet sombre.

You can feel the exhaustion in his voice; it’s almost consistent & repetitive, as if moody.

Aliko is a cry for help so close to home. His is a rallying cry, but elders left the scene a long time ago. The only solidarity he is going to get will come from Peter Obi, & no one else! No other elite is bold enough to upset the apple cart.

Dangote said the elites should be building factories not buying Rolls-Royces & private jets. Did you hear any form of noise or resistance from the usual suspects (who have developed the habit of attacking Peter Obi for almost the same manner of speaking)?

Dangote has benefitted from the system; TRUE! He is often seen as the Monopolist-in-Chief & a Crony Capitalist. This too is TRUE! But he paid his dues, & in full. Your reservations, however germane, cannot water down the substance of everything Alhaji has said. He has started the conversation that Nigeria needs to have.

At some point, “Elite Consensus” must get back in the fight. It must decide the type of nation we want to build. Because what we have now is a far cry from what the founding fathers envisaged. I don’t even know what we have!

Nigerian officials; the so-called top-end exclusive club called the political elites, they are fantastically corrupt & useless (that even a billionaire finds their lifestyle embarrassing & nauseating. Nigerians don’t hate them enough!

The biggest taxpayer in Naija has every right to call out a public official, including the presido.

I SAW MY BEST FRIEND WEARING MY FIANCÈ'S SHIRT AND WHAT HAPPENED NEXT, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT...

CHAPTER 3

My body went cold. My legs felt weak as I stood there staring at the scene in front of me.
Tears poured down my cheeks uncontrollably.

“Ja...son? Cynthia??” I called out, my voice shaking like I was about to break apart.

The moment they heard me, they both turned in shock. Jason’s eyes widened, and Cynthia quickly tried to pull the bedsheet over herself.

“Babe! Wait..it’s not what you think..” Jason rushed off the bed, almost tripping, and came towards me.

"You still want to lie even after I caught you red-handed? Really? Don’t touch me!!” I screamed as he tried to grab my hand. My palm landed across his face with a hot slap that echoed in the room.

Jason froze, holding his cheek, his mouth opening but no words coming out. My tears blurred my vision as I pushed past him and ran out of the house.

“Babe! Please! Listen to me!” Jason shouted, running after me, but I didn’t stop. My chest was tight, and my breath was heavy as I dashed out into the street, waving down a cab with shaky hands.

I got home and locked myself in my room. I cried my eyes out until I could barely feel my face. Betrayal stabbed me deep in my chest, by the two people I trusted the most.

Hours passed, but the pain in my heart didn’t reduce.

By evening, I heard a knock on my door. At first, I ignored it, thinking it was my mum or maybe Jason coming to beg. But then I heard her voice.

“Bestie... it’s me, Cynthia. Please open the door.”

My heart skipped. Cynthia. The same person I just caught on my fiancé’s bed.

I wiped my tears angrily and dragged myself to the door. I opened it, expecting her to at least look guilty. But to my shock, she stood there boldly, arms folded across her chest.

“What do you want?” I asked sternly.

She stepped inside without even waiting for me to invite her.

“You look terrible,” she said casually, her eyes scanning my swollen face.

I stared at her in disbelief. “Cynthia, after everything I saw today, you still have the guts to stand in my house? You should be begging me on your knees right now!”

“Beg you?” she scoffed, letting out a mocking laugh. “For what exactly?”

My eyes widened. “What do you mean ‘for what’? You slept with my fiancé! You betrayed me in the worst way possible!”

Cynthia looked me straight in the eyes and smirked. “And I don’t regret it.”

My chest tightened. “What… what did you just say?”

“I said I don’t regret it,” she repeated firmly.

Then, I landed her a hot slap on her cheek.

"are you mad? Are you insane?" I asked but she only looked at me, then bursted out laughing, then her eyes changed.

“Do you know how long I’ve loved Jason? From the very first day you introduced him to me, I wanted him. But of course, it had to be you. You always get everything, don’t you? You’ve always been the perfect one, beautiful, loved, engaged. And me? I’ve always been in your shadow.”

I stood frozen, shaking my head. “Cynthia, no… no, you can’t mean this.”

“I mean every single word!” she snapped. “I’ve been jealous of you for years. You think I enjoyed pretending to be happy for you? Watching you show off your ring, planning a wedding with the man I wanted for myself? No, my darling… I couldn’t take it anymore.”

Tears rolled down my face in streams as I whispered, “You were like my sister, Cynthia. I trusted you with my whole life! How could you do this to me?”

Cynthia shrugged, her eyes cold. “Because you don’t deserve him. Jason deserves someone like me, not you. Someone who truly knows how to make him happy.”

I gasped. “So all this while… the excuses, the distance, the lies… it was all because of Jason?”

She smirked again. “Exactly. I didn’t want to waste my time with you anymore. I wanted to spend it with the man who should have been mine all along.”

I covered my face with my hands, crying so hard that my body shook. “You’re not even sorry… Wow..”

“Sorry?” she chuckled coldly. “No, I’m not. In fact, I’m glad you finally found out. At least now, you’ll know Jason isn’t really yours.”

Her words pierced my heart like a sharp knÎfÈ. My sobs grew louder as I backed away from her, unable to believe what I was hearing.

Cynthia stepped closer, her voice low but firm. “Jason is mine. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”

I lifted my head slowly, my teary eyes meeting hers. My lips trembled, but no words came out. I just kept crying, staring at the lady I once called my best friend but who now stood as my worst enemy.

The room went silent, except for the sound of my tears hitting the floor.

I SAW MY BEST FRIEND WEARING MY FIANCÈ'S SHIRT AND WHAT HAPPENED NEXT, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT...

CHAPTER 2

"Jaso..n? Wh..at 're you doing here? And why're you coming out from the other side of the car? And why is she wearing your shirt? What is going on here?" I asked, my patience already wearing out.

"babe, It's not what you think okay? Her shirt had some stains, so sh..e c..ame to my house and I offered her mine." Jason said.

"what do you mean that you offered her your shirt? What happened to my own house? Why didn't you come over instead of going to his house?" I asked, confusion written all over my face.

Cynthia looked at me.

"that's because his house was nearby when I had the stain. You didn't expect me to come all the way to your place just because of a stain? I just had to make do of the available option." she said.

"wow! But why did you lie in the first place when I asked if it was his shirt or not? You denied it. And why're you both coming to the mall together?" I asked, so many questions still ringing through my head.

Then, Jason smiled and hugged me.

"you should know your bestie by now, nah... She didn't just want you to feel bad about it. Besides, we happened to come here together because I also wanted to get something.." he said, but it wasn’t even sounding convincing enough.

He hugged me with a smile and pecked me on the forehead after Cynthia had left.

"babe, you worry too much. Wait.. don't tell me you were thinking I would cheat on you with your best friend?.." he asked, then released a laugh.

"come on naw. You know I can never cheat on you, babe. And certainly not with your best friend." he said, and I looked at him and heaved out a sigh.

Something didn’t just sit right no matter how I tried to think of it.

I could even notice that Jason's smiles were not the kind of smiles he used to display. It was as if he was forcing himself.

He held my hand, took me to the car, and drove me home.

"you didn't buy what you came to the mall to buy again..?" I told him, and he just waved it off.

"Oh! Don't worry about that, babe. It wasn't really important. I can always get it another day." he said and ignited the car engine.

The drive back home was odd and silent.

He stopped at my house and even came in with me. I cooked, and we ate together.

After eating, he said he had to go. That he had some important work to do by 5pm.

I nodded and pouted.

"I wish you could stay longer.." I said, but he smiled and hugged me.

"me too, babe. But your fiancè has lots of work to do at the moment. Don't worry, tomorrow we'll go out as much as we want and have enough fun, okay?"

I nodded, and then he left the house in a rush.

After he left, my mind wandered back to what happened at the mall. Jason was right. I shouldn’t have doubted my best friend.

She had been there for me from the beginning. There was no way she would betray me, not to talk of having anything to do with my fiancé.

I heaved out a sigh and decided to rest my head when I noticed Jason's phone on the couch.

Omg! He forgot his phone. How was he going to work without it? I thought and decided to take the phone to him.

I immediately took a cab and headed straight to his house. When I reached, the door was slightly open. So, I just went in.

There was no one in the sitting room. Everywhere was dead quiet.

"Babe?" I called out, walking around, but there was no response.

Then, I decided to go upstairs to his room. While on the stairs, I started hearing strange sounds like moans coming from his bedroom.

My heart stopped as my feet carried me slowly to the door.

When I reached his bedroom door, I placed my hand on the handle and turned it open.

What I saw brought tears to my eyes. I was in total shock and disbelief.

My best friend, Cynthia, was on the bed, taking dóggy from my fiancé, Jason.

They were completely naked, moaning into the atmosphere!

My body froze. Tears ran down my eyes as the phone in my hand came crashing down on the ground.
