PHOTOS: Kenny Ogungbe Causes Stir As He Completes NYSC At 53

Music executive, Kenny Ogungbe, completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme at 53.

Ogungbe, who is famous for shaping the Nigerian music scene through his Kennis Music label in the early 2000s, posted pictures from his Passing Out Parade on Thursday.

He captioned the photos on his Instagram page, “NYSC graduation/POP today. Lagos/12C graduation day. To God be the glory.”

The one-year mandatory service for the Batch C stream was concluded on Thursday, October 12.

People are really surprise, the CEO of Kenny Music and Prime time entertainment, Kenny Ogunbe serving at 53.

If you graduated before your 30th birthday.

You can still serve Nigeria even when you turn 60.

It high time we look for alternative and join the BRICS block.

How can Africa be the fastest growing economy with its wealth of resources.

And US with it huge debt to China in Trillions of dollar.

Still be sponsoring wars for decades from Afghanistan to Iraq to Libya to Ukraine and now Isreal yet they aren't broke.

They will still threaten other nations with sanctions.

Some things doesn't feel right about the global economy.

Today, I represented President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

President Tinubu is committed to completing the abandoned Ajaokuta Steel Complex now nearing completion which have the capacity to employ 500,000 Nigerians once designated as a free trade zone.

The President further promised to fully harness the potentials of the Complex once it is completed, as it would boost Nigeria's foreign direct investment and provide avenue for the creation of the much-needed conducive business environment for all sectors to thrive.

Mr President remains committed to completing the constructions of the River Niger, the Kabba-Lokoja and the Abuja-Lokoja roads.

President Tinubu is a man of plenty ideas who is determined to reposition the nation in its rightful place, especially as it borders on restructuring and stimulating the Nigerian economy.

Mr President's commitment to the development of Kogi State and indeed the entirety of Nigeria, Kogi in particular being a confluence state, cannot afford to have a governor who is hostile to the center. We must be partners in progress and work hand in hand to develop this great nation.

The Tinubu administration is planning to make the Itakpe crop processing project a dream come true, create jobs and affordable education to all.

Engr Hadi Usman, an inventor who established a radio station, Radio transmitter, Vespa engine helicopter, telephone (handset) etc in 1970s,

The inventor also recently invented a generator that doesn't use any form of fuel, stove that uses water and many other inventions.

Engr Hadi is set to make astonishing presentations today, unveiling some of his recent breakthrough inventions including a security apparatus at the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th combined convocation of the Gombe State University.

Northern Nigeria's first Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Umaru Shehu Maiduguri dies at 97.

He was the:
First HOD, Dept of Community medicine ABU Zaria;

Former vice-chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka;

Former sole administrator of the University of Maiduguri;

Former Pro-chancellor and chairman governing council Bayero University Kano and University of Lagos; professor emeritus, community health, university of Maiduguri;

Former president of the Nigerian Academy of Science and former president, medical schools in Africa.

The renowned prof was appointed vice chancellor, university of Nigeria, Nsukka, from 1978-1980. He also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) as short term consultant, (working group on health services and manpower development mechanism) in Geneva, in September, 1970; appointed temporary adviser, in October, 1970; short term consultant, from 1971-1973; consultant (Technical Discussions), 24th WHO regional committee for Africa, in 1974.
