“Nigerians Are Done With Incompetence — It’s Time for Responsible Leadership” — Aregbesola

Osogbo witnessed an unprecedented political surge on Tuesday as thousands of residents thronged major locations across Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency to welcome the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during its constituency tour, led by the party’s National Secretary and former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

From the Ataoja’s Palace to the Technical College, the city was energised by crowds of artisans, traders, youths and community groups showing strong solidarity for the ADC’s rising momentum.

Addressing supporters, Aregbesola declared that Nigerians have reached a historic turning point, saying the people are “ready to vote out incompetence at all levels” and install leaders with capacity, vision and commitment to public good.

He criticised the failures of the current administration in tackling insecurity, economic hardship and governance deficits, insisting that the ADC stands as “the only viable alternative” to rescue the state and the nation.

“We are glad our people have resolved to vote out an incompetent government,” he said. “ADC will correct the governance missteps and deliver life-changing development for the masses.”

The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, endorsed the movement, praising Aregbesola’s enduring contributions to the city’s transformation and pledging support for the party’s 2026 mission to reclaim Osun.

Other party leaders—including Dr. Charles Omidiji, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, Senator Felix Ogunwale, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti and Dr. Najeem Salaam—charged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation, describing ADC as the only party with the moral clarity and competence to reset Osun’s trajectory.

Aregbesola Says Presidency No Longer Considers Nigerians’ Concerns, as ADC Launches Revalidation Exercise in Irewole/Ayedade/Isokan

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday formally unveiled its revalidation exercise in the Irewole/Ayedade/Isokan Federal Constituency, marking what party leaders described as a renewed push for political restructuring and grassroots engagement.

Former Osun State Governor and immediate past Minister of Interior, *Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola**, who led the tour to Ikire, used the occasion to voice strong concerns about the current state of governance in Nigeria.
According to him, the feelings and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians no longer carry weight at the federal level, a situation he described as troubling for national unity and democratic accountability.

> *“What Nigerians feel does not matter to the presidency anymore,”* Aregbesola declared, stressing what he said was a widening disconnect between leaders and the electorate. He lamented that many in government appear detached from the daily realities faced by citizens.

Aregbesola, who was warmly received by constituents and party loyalists, expressed gratitude to the ADC leadership for what he called their “unwavering trust and confidence” in his political direction.
He also commended the party for choosing his ward as the starting point of the new membership revalidation process.

He further acknowledged Hon. Kameel, who leads the national membership registration team to Osun State, praising his commitment and efforts toward strengthening the party’s organizational structure.

Addressing new and returning party members, Aregbesola delivered a message of discipline and purpose. He urged them to embrace the values of self-control, courage, and determination, noting that these principles are essential for personal development and the collective progress of the party.

The ADC’s revalidation exercise is expected to boost local mobilisation and reinvigorate the party’s momentum as it positions itself to advance progressive policies and deepen democratic participation across the state.

*APC’s Era of Bad Governance Will Soon End - Aregbesola*

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and the former Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has completed his ADC membership revalidation today at Ward 8, Unit 1, Ifofin, Ilesa East Local Government Area of Osun State saying this phase of bad governance in Nigeria will soon end.

Ogbeni Aregbesola who was in company of other top ADC party leaders in the state
completed this exercise around 12:44pm to become first person in Nigeria to perform the exercise.

Earlier, the Osun State Chairman of ADC Membership Mobilization, Registration and Revalidation committee, Kamir Akinlabi Modashiru, had charged members of the Party on the need to revalidate their membership cards and also called on those who just joined to try and obtain one as early as possible.

Also reacting, National Chairman of Membership Mobilization, Registration and Revalidation committee, Senator Sadiq Yaradua, said ADC National body decided to start the membership registration and revalidation exercise in Osun State because of the symbol of Omoluabi that the citizen of the state portrays.

He said, ' we are here to declare the registration open in Osun, and not just Osun but here in Ilesa East. We have a leader that the whole nation respects here in Osun. A man that has the symboll of transparency, honesty, good character, and integrity and that was why the National Chairman of the party approved that the exercise should start from here."

Yaradua said, " everything we do here is transparent and therefore this process is also transparent. Everyone is expected to pay registration token of just #500, but no cash collection. We want to show Nigerians that we are not like other parties who deceives Nigerians and their members over registration. We want Nigerians to own the party and choose their leaders from different wards when the time arises."

He said the card has 10 visible and invincible security features, so that there won't be fake or imitation of the card.

After his registration and revalidation, the elated scribe of ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who addressed his teeming supporters and members of the Party that had come to witness the occasion enjoined the joyous supporters to pay a minute silence for the repose of Brigadier General Musa Uba, Commander of the 25 Task Force Brigade in Borno State, who was kil*led by ISWAP after previously surviving an ambush.

Ogbeni Aregbesola said, "today is supposed to be happy and joyous day for me, but im not happy at all because, our nation is going through pain and anguish. My deepest sympathy goes to the families of Brigadier General Musa Uba. It's a story of shock, pain and sorrow for Nigerians to lose such a courageous man while defending the integrity of his nation. Let me also send my deepest sympathy to the families of the 30 abducted girls in Kebbi and the Church that was attacked in Kwara State few hours ago."

"One of the major components of governance of the nation is to secure the nation and revive the economy if such nation but, in this very important aspect, the government in power has failed Nigerians. I pray that God should end this bad phase in our nation."

Ogbeni Aregbesola also seized on the occasion to address the misinformation and misrepresentation of his move to ADC. He said " I did not defect as it was being said in some quarters. I only joined other Nigerians to adopt ADC to bring the nation out of the present problem it has found himself. I was among those who kept complaining of the wrong moves of APC, telling them that all their moves are anti-people. I kept complaining but they refused. And to cap it all, I was expelled from APC along witht tose who were with me, those who were complaining about the abnormalities going in the party. So i matched on, I'm matching on, with courage, dedication and will to bring Nigerians out of this quagmire. With faith in God and the support of our unwavering people i know this phase of bad governance will soon end."

DARAMOLA FAMILY DENOUNCES ATCO HOMES’ FALSE CLAIMS AND FRAUDULENT LAND ALLEGATIONS

The attention of the Daramola Family of Bolorunpelu Onigbedu Village, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, has been drawn to a misleading and defamatory publication sponsored by ATCO Homes, a Lagos-based real estate company, falsely accusing the family of fraudulent activities in relation to land transactions within the Bolorunpelu Onigbedu area of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Lagos State.

In the said report, ATCO Homes, through its Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bartholomew Egbochie, alleged irregularities in land documentation and boundary adjustments carried out by the Daramola family. The company further claimed that the family executed a Deed of Rectification without its consent, thereby altering the coordinates of ATCO’s estate land.

We categorically state that these claims are false, misleading, and intended to malign the reputation of our family while concealing the fraudulent and unlawful dealings of ATCO Homes.

The truth of the matter is that ATCO Homes acquired just about five (5) acres of land from the entire Daramola family, and it was not a direct sale to ATCO. Their alleged surveyor, one Mr. Femi, presented himself as ATCO’s agent. I, Pa Ismail Olayiwola Daramola, never met with him directly, and no payment was ever made into my account. However, I am aware that the then head of the Daramola family sold two (2) acres of land (approximately twelve plots) to ATCO Homes through a customary transfer.

At no point in time did the family deny the legitimate sale of land to ATCO Homes. No one, as we speak, is challenging ATCO over the land it rightfully purchased. ATCO Homes has taken possession and even fenced the land. However, the company’s subsequent attempt to enlarge its claim beyond the portion purchased is an act of trespass and fraud.

Rather than perfect the title of the legitimately acquired land, ATCO Homes unlawfully attempted to “fly” new coordinates belonging to other legitimate allottees who have already perfected their government titles with Certificates of Occupancy (C of O). This act constitutes a clear attempt to convert and encroach upon other people’s property.

The family, through its representatives, has repeatedly written letters to the Lagos State Land Bureau, the Attorney General, the Registrar of Titles, and ATCO Homes’ legal representatives, warning against the fraudulent registration attempt by ATCO Realty Limited.

It is also on record that the family invited ATCO Homes’ lawyer, A.M. Amariwu, Esq., for a meeting to resolve the matter amicably. However, ATCO Homes ignored the invitation and instead resorted to false petitions to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to harass, intimidate, arrest, and unlawfully detain an elderly member of the Daramola family — 75-year-old Pa Ismail Olayiwola Daramola, the new head of the family — who has no involvement whatsoever in the said transaction.

In a protest petition dated October 30, 2025, filed through Dominance Legal Chambers, the family described ATCO’s petition to the EFCC as malicious, unfounded, and based purely on commercial disputes — not criminal activity. The EFCC should not allow itself to be used as a tool to harass innocent citizens over civil matters.

The family head further stated that ATCO Homes, through its alleged fraudulent activities and misrepresentation of land documents, has defrauded several unsuspecting Nigerians by selling land that does not legally belong to it.

OUR DEMANDS
We call on the Lagos Zonal Commander of the EFCC, known for fairness and integrity, to review this case objectively and ensure that justice is not compromised by corrupt officers acting in favor of ATCO Homes to unjustly intimidate, harass, threaten, arrest, or detain aged members of the Daramola family or any other family member based on ATCO’s concocted falsehoods.

We also demand that ATCO Homes and its representatives retract their defamatory publication and desist from further attempts to tarnish the image of the Daramola family.

Furthermore, we urge relevant government authorities, including the Lagos State Ministry of Lands and the Office of the Attorney General, to investigate ATCO Homes’ fraudulent survey practices and stop the ongoing attempt to register illegal coordinates at the Land Registry.

CONCLUSION
The Daramola Family stands firm in truth and transparency. We are open to a full investigation of all land transactions involving our family but reject intimidation, harassment, threats, arrests, detention, and any attempted criminal charges based on falsehood and the misuse of law enforcement agencies for personal gain.

We reaffirm that ATCO Homes’ property remains intact, fenced with iron gates under lock and key as purchased, and that no member of our family has trespassed or tampered with it. However, we will not tolerate any act of fraud, encroachment, or defamation aimed at destroying our family’s name and legacy.

Our legal team is already pursuing this matter in court, and we remain confident that justice will prevail.

Alfa Falilu Daramola

We are deeply alarmed by reports that the *House of Representatives* has received credible *threats of bombing against the national legislative complex.*

We demands for *urgent action* to safeguard democracy, legislative integrity and the *safety of elected officials and civil servants* who serve the *Nigerian people.*

The revelation of a *planned terror attack* on the heart of our democracy is *unacceptable* and must provoke swift, coordinated response from the security agencies, the legislature and the executive.

We highlights the following concerns:

1. The *security breach at the National Assembly complex* reflects grave vulnerabilities of state institutions and underscores the urgent need for enhanced protection and intelligence sharing.

2. The attack threat is not only an assault on physical infrastructure but also an attempt to *destabilise democratic governance and silence the voice of the people.*

3. The continued exposure of lawmakers and legislative staff to such threats should trigger immediate review of security protocols, funding of protective services and transparency on measures being taken.

The *ADC National Media Frontiers calls for:*

An immediate *full scale investigation* into the origin of the threats, the agencies involved and any lapses that enabled them.

*A publicly accountable report within 14 days* on the protective measures being implemented to secure the National Assembly and associated legislative infrastructure.

*Enhanced legislative oversight of security spending* and coordination, ensuring citizens’ representatives are properly shielded from intimidation and violence.

A broader national discussion on the safeguarding of democratic institutions, with a view to *strengthening resilience across state and federal levels.*

We reiterates our unwavering commitment to democratic governance, public safety and the rule of law, and *pledges to work alongside stakeholders* to ensure that the legislative arm of government remains free from coercion, threat and disruption.

OMOYELE SOWORE ARR€STED AT ABUJA COURT-

Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate and activist, has been whisked away from the Federal High Court in Abuja by armed policemen, shortly after he made an appearance for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Sowore, who is a frontline agitator for Kanu’s release from detention, was on Thursday accosted by the security operatives who insisted he must move with them to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command.

Asked what his offence was, one of the officers explained that they were executing an order from the Commissioner of Police.

“The commissioner of police said we should bring you to the office,” the officer added.

Even though he queried the absence of a letter of invitation to him, Sowore, who maintained that his lawyer must accompany him, was taken away in a police van.

Recall that the activist and publisher of an online news platform, Sahara Reporters, was among the organizers of the protest that rocked Abuja and other parts of the country last Monday.
