"Human problems come in a shade of variety. Solving people's (human) problems comes in diverse packs and shades that fit into your size, just like fruit juice or wine comes in varieties."
— Culled from "AHEAD OF THE CURVE"
When you take a closer look at issues in society, many thought human needs are far from their reality. If you truly take a look from where you are now, you will realise that human needs are not as far away as they seem. Look not too far; eyes that see are not common.
Everyone wants to feel loved, more important, and to be noticed and valued. As people embrace love, it requires a discerning (uncommon) eye to identify the gaps in human needs. Once you recognize these gaps, they become your unique opportunity for addressing and solving these problems.
One line from a Yoruba proverb states, "Papọ a tẹriba lori awọn ẽkun wa, ṣugbọn awọn aini wa yatọ ni ọkan". This translates to: "Together we bow on our knees, but our needs differ in the heart." These needs can be categorized into physiological (food, water, sleep), safety (security, health, housing, employment), and love and social esteem.
So, the question to you is: What do you see?
It's Monday morning, the start of another exciting week. Keep hope alive, keep the fire burning, and keep thriving. Have a great week!
