Adebiyi Isreal, a man hailing from Ekiti state in Nigeria, has made an ambitious endeavor to surpass the current world record for the longest duration spent watching movies in a marathon.
In his pursuit of the record, Adebiyi Isreal has officially submitted an application to the Guinness World Records, formally informing the organization about his intention. The existing record, set by Suresh Joachim of Canada in 2015, stands at a remarkable 121 hours and 18 minutes of continuous film watching.
Adebiyi Isreal proudly shared a screenshot of an email he claimed to have received from the Guinness World Records, confirming the acceptance of his application.
In the correspondence addressed to the individual by the Guinness World Records, the letter conveyed the joyful message, stating, "We are delighted to inform you that your application has been accepted with the title: longest marathon watching films/movies (cinema)."
Taking to Twitter, the Nigerian man enthusiastically shared the news with his fellow countrymen. In his tweet, he expressed his gratitude to the Guinness World Records for approving his application, saying, "Special thanks to Guinness World Records for granting us this application. Ekiti, Nigeria! Get ready to experience it!"
