Conversation between two old schoolmates.
Two old schoolmates run into each other in a public space. In a warm embrace, they hug each other and exchange pleasantries.
They find a spot and seat to further their discussion, asking each other about their families, businesses, and work. After that, they start reminiscing about their school days and how they were very close back then. They remember all their schoolmates and how they are doing currently.
The conversation was going smoothly before they started discussing their deep burdens. One was concerned that she has been married for the past 24 years without a child. Her tone, before very light, became heavy as she spoke with a voice of agony and a face scattered with disappointment and despair.
The most disheartening part of the conversation comes when the other classmate told the other one complaining of childlessness that she is unmarried, without a child, without a husband to support her, or even a manfriend. The last man in her life disappointed her after the marriage introduction. Their discussion quickly turned from the one with a child consoling the one who has not even found a man to settle down with.
They are both in their late 40s, and who could have anticipated not having children by that age when they were younger? The story has a lot of lessons and reservations. Everybody is going through one thing or another; you have to keep faith alive. Your problem is not the worst; as far as there is life, there's hope.
