The Nigerian Army’s General Court Martial in Jos has sentenced Private Lukman Musa to death after finding him guilty of killing a tricycle rider in Bauchi State earlier this year.

Investigations revealed that Musa lured the rider, Abdulrahman Isa, to his residence, ended his life, buried him in a shallow grave, and later sold the tricycle. Evidence presented in court — including forensics and witness accounts — sealed the verdict.

British authorities have arrested Farouk Adekunle Adepoju, a Nigerian living in the UK, after the US indicted him on charges of wire fraud and computer fraud.

👉 Officials allege he hacked into the email system of a Pennsylvania construction company working with a university, then created fake accounts to divert $235,000 (₦363m) into his own control.

The US Department of Justice says Adepoju is now awaiting extradition to face a seven-count indictment. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison per wire fraud charge, plus additional time for computer fraud.

Officials have confirmed that the toxic smoke from a burning inverter lithium battery was behind most of the deaths in the recent Afriland Tower fire.
