๐ฅต๐ดThis sport can be cruel. Very cruel. VAR cancelled Alvarez spot kick on the justification that he touched the ball twice. Cruel! If there was indeed a touch, it must have been quite light and in that case cannot influence the trajectory of the shot.
Overall, I think it's quite a harsh rule especially in a case whereby the player slipped and it wasn't deliberate. At least the player should be given a chance to retake.
Some of these rules have got to be mitigated as the sport keeps developing.
