My grandfather once told me:

"The storm does not apologize for shaking the palm tree. But the palm tree does not beg the storm to stop."

There was once a young palm tree that complained every time the wind blew.

“Why me?” it cried. “Why must I bend while others stand still?”

An old iroko tree laughed and said,
“You bend because you are learning balance. The storm is not your enemy. It is your trainer.”

Years passed. The small palm that once complained became the strongest in the field. When the great storm came and uprooted the proud trees that refused to bend, the palm tree survived; not because it was the tallest, but because it had learned how to bend without breaking.

Listen carefully:

Your struggles are not signs that you are weak.
They are signs that you are being prepared.

The rejection, the delay, the silent season, the tears nobody sees.

They are strengthening your roots.

One day, people will call you “STRONG.”
They will not know the storms that trained you.

So today, stop asking “Why me?”

Start saying, “Train me.”

Keep growing. Keep bending. Keep believing.

Your storm is not here to destroy you.
It is here to introduce you to your strength.

If you are still standing after everything life threw at you, drop a 🌴 in the comments.

The forest does not make a sound when the trees are growing; it only makes a noise when they are falling.

Don’t be deceived by the 'loud' success of others or discouraged by your own 'quiet' season. Just because people can’t hear your progress doesn't mean you aren't rising. The deep roots of a baobab are grown in total silence before the branches ever touch the sky.

This morning, keep growing in private. Your season of 'making noise' is coming.

A man was running through the forest, sweating and panting, screaming that "The Spirits" were chasing him. He ran until he collapsed at the feet of a Wise Herbalist.

The Herbalist looked at him and said, "My son, there are no spirits behind you. You are running from your own shadow because you are carrying a stolen lamp." The man realized that because he had cheated his neighbor to get the lamp, every flicker of the light made him fear that the world was coming to take it back.

We spend so much time praying against "Village People" and "Haters." But sometimes, our "Village People" are actually:

The Guilt of how we treated people on our way up.

The Anxiety of trying to live a life we can't afford just for Instagram.

The Fear that someone will find out we aren't who we pretend to be.

Peace of mind is the greatest wealth. If you have a clear conscience, you can sleep in a forest and the lions will pass you by. If your heart is heavy, even a golden bed will feel like thorns.

Before you sleep:
Drop a "♥️" in the comments if you are choosing Peace over Pressure tonight.

Let the "Village People" of your mind rest. You’ve done enough for today. Tomorrow is a new chapter.

Goodnight, Family. May your ancestors watch over your dreams. 🕯️

You must choose only one door, which one would you choose?

You must choose only one door, which one would you choose?

THE RIDDLE OF THE THREE DOORS 🚪

There was a traveler who reached the end of a long journey, only to find three doors guarded by a Silent Spirit. To pass, he had to choose the door that led to True Success.

Door 1: Behind this door is a Mountain of Gold, but you must walk over the bodies of your friends to reach it.

Door 2: Behind this door is Eternal Fame, but you will forget your mother’s name and your father’s face the moment you enter.

Door 3: Behind this door is a Small Seed and a Cup of Water, but you must plant it, water it, and wait 10 years for it to bear fruit.

The Spirit asked the traveler: "Which door leads to a King's peace?"

👇🏾 YOUR TURN:

If you were that traveler, which door are you opening today? 1, 2, or 3?
Be honest; the Spirit is watching your comment! 👀

My father used to say, "He who breaks the kola nut brings life, but he who breaks a heart brings a curse upon his own house." Then he told me this:

A greedy merchant once swapped a blind beggar’s gold coin for a worthless piece of rusted iron, laughing at how easy it was to cheat a man who couldn't see. That evening, the merchant was summoned to the Palace to ask for a favor, only to find the "blind beggar" sitting on the throne, wearing the gold coin around his neck. The King looked him in the eye and said, "I couldn't see the coin, but I could feel your soul, and it is as rusted as the iron you gave me."

The "King in Disguise" doesn’t always wear a crown. Sometimes, he wears a faded uniform or sits at the front desk.

Never look down on the security guard who opens the gate, the receptionist who takes your name, or the cleaner in the hallway. In the corporate world, these are the people who hear everything, see everything, and often hold the "spare key" to the door you are trying to open.

If you are only respectful to the CEO, you aren't a respectful person; you are just a climber. And climbers eventually slip.

Who is the "Unseen King" in your life right now? The person everyone ignores, but you know they hold the key to the atmosphere in your office or neighborhood?

Omo, let me tell you why my grandmother says that "not every beautiful face in the market is a human being." Some are just Premium Shina (trouble) wrapped in expensive lace.

I met this lady, let’s call her Precious. Precious was fine. If she walked past a mirror, the mirror would thank her for the view. I thought I had finally found the one to take to the village for Christmas.

But wait... the Red Flags started waving like a Nigerian flag on Independence Day. 🇳🇬

We went to this fancy restaurant. I was thinking "Small chops and drinks," but Precious was looking at the menu like she was reading a Will. She ordered everything: the grilled fish that looks like it has a PhD, the pasta that costs a month’s rent, and "Imported Water."

As she was eating, I remembered the old story of the Hunter and the Shape-shifting Deer.

The Hunter saw a beautiful woman in the forest and followed her, not knowing she was actually a Wild Buffalo who just pulled off her skin to look like a lady. The only way he knew was when she started eating... she didn't eat like a human; she ate like someone who wanted to finish the whole forest.

That was my Precious. She wasn't just eating the food; she was "taxing" my bank account. When the bill came, she suddenly developed "Network Issues" with her banking app. She looked at me with those eyes and said, "Babe, you know I’ll send it back to you later, right?"

Lies. My grandmother’s voice echoed in my head: "The person who borrows your feathers to fly will never help you when you are falling."

Lesson:
We call it "Entitlement," but our ancestors called it "The Spirit of the Collector." If someone is only interested in what you can provide before they even know your surname, they haven't come for love; they’ve come for a Harvest.

Don't let a "Fine Face" make you ignore a "Bad Character." A beautiful house with no foundation will still fall when the rain starts.

🗣️ Let’s Talk:
The Men: What’s the most "expensive" red flag you’ve ever ignored because the girl was fine?

The Ladies: Have you ever met a "Hunter" who promised you the world but couldn't even buy data? 🤡

Drop your "Red Flag" stories in the comments. Let’s learn from each other before we all become characters in a tragic folktale! 👇🏾
