🚨 BREAKING: Gunmen Kill Popular Media Personality, One Other in Anambra
Unidentified gunmen suspected to be cultists have reportedly killed popular comedian and media personality, Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as “Aiza Nwosu,” alongside another unidentified man in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

The two victims were reportedly shot dead at separate locations by the same assailants on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

According to reports, Aiza Nwosu was attacked along S.M. Okeke Street, Amaikwo, Awka, while the second victim was shot along Capital City Road, Amaenyi, Awka.

An eyewitness alleged that about three armed men in a tinted vehicle trailed the comedian from his residence, double-crossed his vehicle and opened fire on him. The assailants reportedly left him inside his car before driving away.

The same attackers were also alleged to have shot another man by the roadside, dispossessed him of his belongings and fled the scene after firing several shots into the air.
Residents and eyewitnesses reportedly suggested that the attacks may be connected to cult-related activities.

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Police spokesperson SP Ikenga Tochukwu said the command was aware of the killings and that investigations were ongoing.

The incident has reportedly caused tension in parts of Awka, with security operatives increasing their presence around the affected areas.

64-Year-Old Celestial Church Cleric Allegedly Beaten to Death During Service in Abuja
A 64-year-old cleric of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Castle of Mercy Parish, Waru District, Abuja, Ven. Sup. Evang. Onaduja Oluwafemi Gbeminiyi, has reportedly been beaten to death by unidentified hoodlums who allegedly stormed the church premises during a mercy service.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while worshippers were gathered for a service that began around 9:00 a.m.

According to an account shared by Celestial Reality Check (CRC-MEDIA), the assailants allegedly went directly to the apartment of the Shepherd-in-Charge, located within the church premises, and forcibly dragged him outside.

The retired soldier reportedly resisted the attackers, leading to a struggle that lasted several minutes before they allegedly overpowered him and inflicted severe injuries.
He was said to have cried out for help during the attack, but no assistance reportedly arrived before the assailants fled the scene.

Neighbours and others later rushed him to a hospital, where he was reportedly confirmed dead a few hours after the attack.

The incident was reported to the FCT Police Command, which has reportedly commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible. The church’s assistant shepherd was also reportedly invited for questioning and detained.

His remains were reportedly interred at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, on Thursday, August 20, while a service of songs was held at the church premises.

TRAGEDY: 40-Year-Old Man Reportedly Dies by Su***de After Business Loan Struggles
A tragic incident has left family members, friends and residents of Ebrumede/DSC Roundabout in Delta State mourning following the reported death of a 40-year-old man, popularly known as Ogbeni Goggo.

According to reports, the deceased allegedly took his own life on Wednesday after reportedly consuming a poisonous substance. He was said to have taken a loan of ₦1.8 million to support his business, but unfortunately, the business reportedly did not go as planned.
Ogbeni Goggo had been married for about three years and had no child at the time of his death.

Reports further indicate that around midnight on Wednesday, he sent messages to some friends and family members expressing that he was tired of life and wanted to end it all. Those who received the messages reportedly tried calling him repeatedly, but he did not answer.
When he failed to return home that night, his wife became deeply worried, as his absence was unusual. She and other family members spent Thursday searching for him without success.

On Friday morning, his wife reportedly went to the police station in Ebrumede, Uvwie Local Government Area, to report him missing. It was there that the police showed her a photograph of a lifeless man found around the Ebrumede Flyover/Roundabout. She reportedly identified the person as her husband.

According to eyewitness accounts, some people who saw him after he had consumed the substance raised an alarm when he collapsed and began jerking. Efforts were reportedly made to assist him, but unfortunately, it was too late. The police later arrived at the scene and evacuated the body to a morgue in Agbaro.

The news reportedly left his wife devastated, and she collapsed upon confirming that the deceased was her husband.
Depression is real. Financial hardship is real. But su***de is never the answer.

Nothing is worth taking your own life. The economic hardship being experienced by many Nigerians can be overwhelming, but no financial problem should be allowed to convince anyone that life is no longer worth living.

‘Drug Trafficking’: Court Extends KC Luxury’s Detention by 30 Days, Freezes Bank Accounts

NDLEA Lagos Pays Courtesy Visit to Dr. D.K. Olukoya at MFM Headquarters
