Day one of the shoot Karl Maxicole White showed up in a trench coat and a beanie. That’s the moment I knew it was game over.

Karl is a gaffer you want to work with. Humble and very resourceful with a lot of talent. Once I told him what I was aiming for, it was a “say no more”.

95% of the folks I initially contacted for this project were either busy or just didn’t wanted to rumble with me. I had no choice but to work with young people with very little or no experience at all. Some were on a line of duty for the first time.

I found myself micromanaging a lot. It was more like a training session than a film set as I was on everyone’s business. I’m sure they thought I was the biggest in the world.

However, everything turns out just like I wanted. I give all of them props because they are the real ones. I hope I work with them again.
