“Better is a dry morsel with quietness, Than a house full of feasting with strife. A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame, And will share an inheritance among the brothers. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts. An evildoer gives heed to false lips; A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue. He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends. Whoever rewards evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house

✍🏾. I Will Rather Live A Simple Humble Life With Peace And Quietness. It Is Far Better Than An Opulent Lifestyle With Nothing But Quarrels And Strife At Home. YAHWEH Will Rather Have Us Living And Serving Him As A Wise Sons And Daughters. A Wise, Intelligent Servant Will Be Honoured Above A Shameful Son. He Will Even End Up Having A Portion Left To Him Or Her In The Master’s Will. In The Same Way That Gold And Silver Are Refined By Fire, The Lord Purifies Our Heart By The Tests And Trials Of Life. So, Those Eager To Embrace Evil Will Listen To Slander, For A Liar Loves To Listen To Lies. But We Are Vessels Of Love And Unity; Love Overlooks The Mistakes Of Others, But Dwelling On The Failures Of Others Devastates Friendships. The One Who Returns Evil For Good Can Expect To Be Treated The Same Way For The Rest Of His Life.

5. The Strain And Evil Of Broken Relationships, Injustice And Strife That Destroys Peace And Hinders Wholesomeness.
Wherever you see smooth running atmosphere in a relationship, where Uncommon Love and Unity thrives, know that there is whole lot of forgiveness and forgiving exercise going on in the background. Let us face it, Satan hates Divine Order. So, the devil and his army of evils spirits sows Hatred, Envy, and Oppression that destroys peace among men.
But YAHWEH is a God of Peace, that is why all the organized religion of the world tries to imitate Him in His Peaceful Nature. Do you know even the anti-Christ will come in the name of peace for the world. Can you believe it, the man of sin will present himself to the world as man of peace.

Nothing breaches peace and destroys soundness across all realms of existence like unwholesome relationship. It fosters envy and strife that destroys unity and without unity, there can be no soundness. One thing I love about our God is that He is Alive and Faithful. He is a speaking God and He speaks in pictures that enhances our understanding. In what appears to be the prophetic pictures of the end time Church, YAHWEH instructed Prophet Ezekiel to carry out prophetic action that speaks about the future reality of the church. Let us dive into it from Ezekiel 37:15-28.

“Again, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’ Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand. “And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’—"

You know what? I am ever so thrilled that I belong to a God that speaks to as His children and Prophets. It is so that we can be His Mouth Piece on earth as I had earlier mentioned, He wanted to show us His intentions in respect of the future of His people and YAHWEH spoke to Prophet Ezekiel, saying,

“Son of man, take a stick and carve on it the words, ‘For Judah and all the Israelites with him.’ Then take another stick and carve on it the words, ‘The stick of Ephraim, for Joseph and all the Israelites with him.’ Now join them together to make a single piece of wood to become one stick in your hand. And when your fellow exiles ask, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’

“Then, say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.” And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes. “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”

This is how you are to answer them,
“‘Lord YAHWEH says: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph that belongs to Ephraim and those tribes loyal to him and join them to the stick of Judah. I will make two sticks into one, a single stick in my hand.’

[ The joining of the sticks labelled Ephraim and Judah is the Prophetic joining of the Jewish and Gentile Church that will make up the body of Christ of the end time. As Ephraim was adopted and upgraded from being a grandson to the status of a son, so are we of the gentile nations adopted into the commonwealth of Israel].

“Now, show the people the pieces of wood you have written on, and tell them, ‘Lord YAHWEH says this: I will gather the Israelites from the nations where they have gone. I will gather them together from everywhere and bring them to their homeland. [ this is the prophetic picture of the Ecclesia, the church called out of the world system]
“And I will make them into a single nation in the mountainous land of Israel and give them one king to be king over them all. [ Jesus Christ has been enthroned as King over the Church now and He is coming back as judge and to rule and reign.]
“They will never again be divided into two nations nor split into two separate kingdoms. Never again will they defile themselves with their disgusting idols, their detestable things, and rebellions. I will save them from always turning back and repeating their old sins. I will cleanse and purify them. They will be my people, and I shall be their God”.

“David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

“My beloved servant David will reign over them, and he will be one faithful shepherd for them all. They will walk in my ways, respect my laws, and practice them”.

[As this was fulfilled albeit partially in King David and some of his descendants that followed in his footsteps in following the ways of God, but the real deal now is that Jesus Christ is now the Son of David ruling as king in His stead.]

“They will live in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your ancestors once lived. They and their children and grandchildren will live in it forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. I will make my eternal covenant of peace with them. I will resettle them, and I will bless them and multiply them. I will establish my sanctuary among them forever. I will make my home above them. I will be their God, and they will be my beloved people. When my sanctuary is with them forever, then the nations will realize that I set Israel apart as my own.’”. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit has come down to make us the sanctuary of God for ever.

Jesus Christ is now our Peace and He purchased our peace with His Blood. So now, our peace is now Hinged on His Covenant. Do not ever allow anything to challenge your peace in God. It will be the height of wickedness that must never be allowed to stand. Contend with it until it lifts off. Ephesians 2:11-18 makes this quite clear!

“So don’t forget that we were not born as Jews and were uncircumcised (circumcision itself is just a work of man’s hands); we had none of the Jewish covenants and laws; you were foreigners to Israel’s incredible heritage; we were without the covenants and prophetic promises of the Messiah, the promised hope, and without God.

Yet look at us now! Everything is new! Although we were once distant and far away from God, now we have been brought delightfully close to Him through the sacred blood of Jesus;
we have actually been united to Christ! Our reconciling “Peace” is Jesus! He has made Jew and non-Jew one in Christ. By dying as our sacrifice, He has broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us and has now made us equal through our union with Christ. Ethnic hatred has been dissolved by the crucifixion of His precious body on the cross.

The legal code that stood condemning every one of us has now been repealed by his command. His triune essence has made peace between us by starting over, forming one new race of humanity, Jews and non-Jews fused together in Himself! Two have now become one, and we live restored to God and reconciled in the body of Christ. Through his crucifixion, hatred died. For the Messiah has come to preach this sweet message of peace to us, the ones who were distant, and to those who are nearby. And now, because we are united to Christ, we both have equal and direct access in the realm of the Holy Spirit to come before the Father!”

So Now, We Have To Maintain The Flow Of Uncommon Love And Unity With The Cord Of Peace, Celebrate With Those Who Celebrate, And Weep With Those Who Grieve. Live Happily Together In A Spirit Of Harmony, And Be As Mindful Of Another’s Worth As You Are Your Own. Don’t Live With A Lofty Mind-Set, Thinking You Are Too Important To Serve Others, But Be Willing To Do Menial Tasks And Identify With Those Who Are Humble Minded. Don’t Be Smug Or Even Think For A Moment That You Know It All. Never Hold A Grudge Or Try To Get Even, But Plan Your Life Around The Noblest Way To Benefit Others. Do Your Best To Live As Everybody’s Friend. Beloved, Do Not Be Obsessed With Taking Revenge, But Leave That To God’s Righteous Justice. The Voice of Truth, Light Being and Wisdom for Today from Proverbs 16:1-2, 7, 24.
“The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits. When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.”

✍🏾. We Have The Onus To Go Ahead And Make All The Plans That Crosses Our Mind, But It Is The Lord Who Have The Final Say And Will Ultimately Direct Our Steps. This Is Because We Are Often Operating Under An Oppressed Mind And So, We Are All In Love With Our Own Opinions, Most Times We Are Convinced They Are Correct. But The Lord Is In The Midst Of Us, Testing And Probing Our Every Motive.

We Can Only Avoid Evil Through Surrendered Worship And The Fear Of God, For The Power Of His Faithful Love Removes Sin’s Guilt And Grip Over Us. This Is Why We Are Admonished To Seek And Practice His Presence. You See When The Lord Is Pleased With The Decisions That We Have Made, He Activates Grace To Turn Enemies Into Friends. Nothing Is More Appealing Than Speaking Beautiful, Life-Giving Words. For They Release Sweetness To Our Souls And Inner Healing To Our Spirits.

4. The Mind Under The Siege Of Oppression, Bo***ge, And Satanic Affliction.

Remember our focus is on the indices that steals our peace and denies us access to soundness. The enemy's oppression stole rest and peace. Imagine as an agrarian and animal rearer, you cleared your field, took all the needful steps to prepare your field for the planting season. You waited for the early rain, concluded the planting of your precious seeds. And in the process of time according to divine order, the seeds germinated and brought forth bountiful harvest and it was then that a certain tribe that is oppressing your country steps in and take away all the harvest, including all your cattle, leaving you with barely enough of the harvest, talk less of getting new seeds for the next planting season, or even money to buy new cattle for rearing. That scenario happens to be the prevailing situation that Israelites were dealing with in the time of our text.
I can also see that many people of our days are facing similar case scenario, albeit with modern touch.

So, What could be the reason when people find themselves under this kind of situation. Nothing happens without a reason, so let us explore what brought about this kind of circumstance. Look at Judges 6:1-10

“Once again, the Israelites did evil in the sight of YAHWEH, so YAHWEH handed them over to the Midianites for seven years.”

Once again means that the Israelites had been in that kind of situation before, that is the condition that brought them in that situation had occurred before, therefore, they were handed over to the oppressor for a certain length of time, the Midianites were given power to dominate them for a period of seven years and still counting.

The crushing power of the Midianites overwhelmed Israel, forcing the Israelites to make hiding places for themselves in caves and mountain strongholds. Whenever the Israelites planted any crops, and before they could reap the harvest, the Midianites would come with the Amalekites and other desert tribes and invade the land. They would camp in their fields and destroy their crops as far as Gaza. They would seize all their sheep, cattle, and donkeys. They left nothing for the Israelites to live on. When they invaded the land with their livestock and camels and tents, they were as numerous as locusts, leaving the land desolate.”

So, on account of those raids Israel was impoverished and helpless against them. Then the Israelites, with shattered hearts, cried out to YAHWEH for mercy. When the Israelites, with shattered hearts, cried out to YAHWEH because of the Midianite oppression, HE sent them a prophet with this message: “Listen to the words of YAHWEH, the God of Israel: ‘I delivered you from Egypt and from a life of slavery. I sn**ched you from the brutality of the Egyptians. I rescued you from the people who invaded this land and fought against you. I drove them out as you advanced, and I gave their land to you. I told you that I am YAHWEH your God, and that you must not worship the false gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But you did not listen to my voice.’”

Nevertheless, YAHWEH never leave us at the mercies of the oppressors. In their distress and weakness, He came through for them: So, listen, you who are weak and wounded, who are intoxicated not with wine but with God’s anger. This is what your sovereign ruler, Lord YAHWEH, your God, the Mighty Defender of his people, says: “Look! I have removed from your hand the intoxicating cup that made you stagger. You will no longer drink from the bowl of my anger. Instead, I will put that bowl in the hands of your tormentors who said to you, ‘Lie down so we can walk all over you!’ For your back became like the ground they trample on, like a street for them to walk on.”

No matter the depth and degree of our errors of judgement, We have YAHWEH’s promises of redemption from the hand of the oppressors and restoration of Peace in the coming of the Messiah. All that we have to do is connect by faith. The doom and gloom of the errors of our way might lead to distress, there is always a way out. Look at the prophesy from Isaiah 9:1, 6-8.

“Nevertheless, the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, As when at first He lightly esteemed The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, And afterward more heavily oppressed her, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles.”

No more gloom for those who are in distress! Although the Lord greatly humbled the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, He will one day bestow upon them great honour—from the Mediterranean eastward to the other side of the Jordan and throughout the Galilee of the gentiles.

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. The Lord sent a word against Jacob, And it has fallen on Israel.”

A child has been born for us; a Son has been given to us. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on His shoulders, and His Name will be: the Wonderful One, the Extraordinary Strategist, the Mighty God, the Father of Eternity, the Prince of Peace! Great and vast is His dominion. He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness from this time forward and forevermore. The marvellous passion that the Lord YAHWEH, Commander of Angel Armies, has for his people will ensure that it is finished!

The Lord sent His word to Jacob, and it brought light upon Israel. The sent word is the light that was sent to sn**ch us away from the hand of the oppressors. Look at Acts 10:36-38.

“The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all, that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

God sent his word to the Jewish people first, announcing the wonderful news of hope and peace through Jesus, the Anointed One, the Lord of all. You are well aware of all that began in Galilee and spread throughout the land of Israel immediately after John preached his message of baptism. Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him.

The Voice of Truth, Light Being and Wisdom for Today from Proverbs 15:2-3, 7, 9-10.
“The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of the fool does not do so. The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But He loves him who follows righteousness. Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, And he who hates correction will die.”

✍🏾. There Is A Huge Difference Between The Tongue Of The Foolish And The Wise; The Difference Is Actually The State Of The Mind. The Wise Mind Uses Knowledge In A Right Way! You See, When Wisdom Speaks, Understanding Becomes Attractive. But The Words Of The Fool Make Their Ignorance Look Laughable. The Eyes Of The Lord Are Everywhere And He Takes Note Of Everything That Happens. He Watches Over His Lovers, And He Also Sees The Wickedness Of The Wicked.
In This Case, The Wicked Are Those Who Are Rooted In Carnality And Susceptible Towards Rebellion. When Wisdom Speaks, Revelation-Knowledge Is Released, But Finding True Wisdom In The Word Of A Fool Is Futile. Stop Your Search, You Will Not Find Any! The Lord Detests The Lifestyle Of The Wicked, But He Loves Those Who Pursue Purity. Severe Punishment Awaits The One Who Turns Away From The Truth, And Those Who Rebel Against Correction Will Die.

3. The State Of Mind Rooted In Carnality And Prone To Rebellion Against God.
Isaiah 48:16-19.
“Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit Have sent Me.” Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants also would have been like the sand, And the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off Nor destroyed from before Me.”

YAHWEH knows the danger of our being set with a stubborn heart. He knew that such a disposition will lead to outright loss of His kind of peace. Such a stubborn heart brings instability and broken covenant of peace without which we neither excel nor attain state of excellence. In fact, in the instances of being set in this condition, death is inevitable. It is difficult to be stubborn and attain soundness and life. This is a covenant reality.

This is why all the old covenant prophets and the new covenant principles warns us as God’s people to locate and stick to the old and ancient paths. Especially when there is a kind of blurred lines and it appears that we are on cross roads.
This command is biding on individual basis. You will have to turn to the old path and find your own established path and take your bearing from there. Truth, Light-bring and wisdom calls ;
“Draw near to Me and listen: From the beginning, I have not spoken in secret. From the beginning of time, I was there.” And now Lord YAHWEH has sent Me, empowered by His Spirit! This is what YAHWEH, your Kinsman-Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “I AM YAHWEH, YOUR GOD. I am the One who teaches you how to succeed and who leads you step by step in the way you should go. If only you had listened to my commands, then peace would have flowed like a river for you and success would wash over you like waves of the sea. Your children would have multiplied to become like the sand of the seashore and your descendants like grains of sand. There would be no end of them, and I would not cut them off.”

So, again, this day, YAHWEH is still saying to us His people:
“Stand at the crossroads. Now, consider your ways and ask for the ancient paths. Which is God’s way? Walk on His path, and you will enjoy a resting place for yourselves.”
We should not take to the example of the old covenant generation, for they said, ‘We will not. That is not the path we want.’ ”.
Then YAHWEH Said, “I raised up prophetic watchmen to warn you: ‘Pay attention to the sound of the shofar!’ Still, they replied, ‘We will not.”

The result of their adamant and obstinate heart is that they had to face certain calamities, even death and Destructions, which under normal circumstances should never have happen to people of God.
Nevertheless, there is always a path of return back to God that He will always leave open. Even with a stubborn heart, there is a Promise of Restoration

Ezekiel 36:23-32.
“And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

I am going to magnify the holiness of My great name, which you have greatly dishonoured before the eyes of foreign nations. And when I magnify My Holiness in you before their eyes, the nations will know that I AM YAHWEH. I, LORD YAHWEH, have spoken.’ “ ‘I will take you from every nation and country and bring you back home to your own land.
Under the New covenant, our own land is inside His kingdom and each of our own individual established path in His Purpose and Plan becomes our place.

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.”

I will sprinkle purifying water over you, and you will be cleansed from all the filth of your past. I will wash you clean from the defilement of worshiping false gods. I will graciously give you a new, tender heart and put a new, willing spirit inside you. I will remove your hard heart of stone and give you an obedient, responsive heart instead. I will put my Holy Spirit in you to empower you to keep my laws and to live by them. You will live in the land that I gave your ancestors. You will be my people, and I will be your God.

“I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord God, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

I will save you from everything impure within you. I will call for the grain of the field to become plentiful and not allow famine to afflict you. I will increase the produce of fruit and field so that you will never again bear the disgrace of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil ways and the wrongs you have done. Your guilt and evil deeds will cause you to be disgusted with yourselves. People of Israel, I assure you that it is not because you are good that I am going to do all this. You should be utterly ashamed over your conduct! I, LORD YAHWEH, HAVE SPOKEN.’

So now, where is the path going forward?
We have to consciously reject the flesh and its Destructive Nature. Why?
Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual Realities. In this case “Kingdom Realities”. For the sense and reason of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace. In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction, because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of Him.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

The Days Of Rebellion Is Officially Over For Those Willing To Live A Yielded Life Under The Spirit Of God. This Is The Reality That The Finished Work Of Christ Has Now Bestowed On Us Under The New Covenant. God Revealed The Defect And Limitation Of The First Covenant When He Said To His People, “Look! The Day Will Come, Declares The Lord, When I Will Satisfy The People Of Israel And Judah By Giving Them A New Covenant. It Will Be An Entirely Different Covenant Than The One I Made With Their Fathers When I Led Them By My Hand Out Of Egypt. For They Did Not Remain Faithful To My Covenant, So I Rejected Them, Says The Lord God. For Here Is The Covenant I Will One Day Establish With The People Of Israel: I Will Embed My Laws Within Their Thoughts And Fasten Them Onto Their Hearts. I Will Be Their Loyal God And They Will Be My Loyal People. Shalom. Shalom!
