For the past two years, artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake, Rema, Tems, Ayra Starr, Olamide, Fireboy DML, Shallipopi, Victony, Young Jonn, R***r, Omah Lay, Timaya, Flavour and plenty others all dropped projects.
None of them managed to move faster than Davido's "Timeless" on the Nigeria Apple Music Albums Chart. Then Seyi Vibez entered the chat.
His new project "Fuji Moto" reportedly hit No. 1 in just 6 hours and went past the 8-hour record set by "Timeless".
That alone tells you how solid his fanbase is right now. Whether he announces it for months or drops it outta nowhere, they always pull up.
Love his music or n0t, Seyi Vibez has created his own space in the game, and it's looking like one of the strongest movements in Nigerian music today.
Maybe the real lesson here is that loyal fans can sometimes do more than the biggest marketing budget.
