Enugu police dismantle illegal fi****ms workshop
Enugu Police have uncovered a local gun fabrication workshop in Amofia-Agu Affa, Udi LGA. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad raided the site on June 30, 2025, recovering assorted fi****ms, cartridges, tools, and generators.
The raid followed the arrest of 32-year-old Ekene Okafor, a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, earlier nabbed for conspiracy, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of fi****ms. His confession led police to the workshop, where his locally made gun was being serviced. The owner fled on sighting the operatives.
Recovered items include one locally made cut-to-size gun, two English-made double-barrel guns, eight single-barrel guns, live and expended cartridges, generator sets, and firearm tools. Police say efforts to arrest the fleeing fabricator are ongoing.
