As a newcomer in Canada, nobody warned me about Tomato Season Olympics! I walked into the store casually… only to see people loading tomatoes like they were preparing for the end of the world. I thought maybe there was a secret jollof or pasta festival I wasn’t invited to! 🍅😂

Then I discovered the truth: it’s not panic, it’s winter wisdom! When the cold hits and fresh tomatoes disappear or cost a kidney, everyone relies on the ones they canned, froze, or turned into sauces during the summer rush.

Moral of the story: Before you judge or laugh at what people are doing, ask questions. Understanding the “why” can turn confusion into wisdom and sometimes a full cart of tomatoes!

Growing up in Nigeria🇳🇬, Thanksgiving wasn’t a holiday we observed but moving to Canada 🇨🇦 has given it a new and beautiful meaning in my life.😃
This year, I stood in gratitude not just for where I am, but for everything it took to get here. I’m a mother, an entrepreneur, and a woman thriving in a new country without the physical presence of my family and that alone is something worth celebrating.
Thanksgiving, for me, is no longer just a date on the calendar. It represents:

✨ New traditions I’m embracing with courage
✨ Opportunities I once only dreamed about
✨ The strength to build, grow, and rise in unfamiliar places

Here are 3 things this season reminded me of:
1️⃣ Gratitude shifts your mindset, what you focus on grows.
2️⃣ Rest is productive, you don’t have to burn out to prove you’re working.
3️⃣ Closed doors are often redirection, not rejection.

There’s something powerful about beginning the week with intention.
No noise. No comparison. Just me, my Bible, my planner, and a clear reminder:

👉 God is the CEO of this journey. I’m simply the steward of the gifts He placed in me.

Entrepreneurship isn’t just about strategy, it’s about spiritual alignment. I don’t just make business plans… I pray over them. I don’t just set goals… I surrender them. Every idea, every pitch, every connection covered in faith before executed with action.

Because for me:

👉🏽Vision without prayer is assumption.
👉🏽Work without faith is exhaustion.
👉🏽But when wisdom meets divine guidance? That’s acceleration.🙌

So here’s my Monday declaration:

✅ I will show up boldly.
✅ I will use my God-given talents unapologetically.
✅ I will pursue excellence, not perfection knowing God perfects what I commit to Him.
