You spent months building it. Don’t wing the launch.
A product can be ready to launch without being ready to grow.
Before launch, make sure you’ve figured out these 5 things:
1. Who you’re launching for
Know your ICP, their problem, alternatives, positioning and why they should choose you.
2. Whether the problem is painful enough
“That’s useful” isn’t the same as “I need this solved.” Validate the problem through real customer behaviour, not just positive feedback.
3. How users will reach value
Don’t make users work through a complicated experience before they understand why your product matters. Reduce the distance between sign-up and value.
4. What activation means for your product
Activation is different for every product. It could be creating a first project, completing a first transaction, launching a first campaign or reaching another meaningful value moment.
Don’t just measure sign-ups. Define the behaviour that tells you “this user has experienced our core value.”
5. What happens after launch day
A launch campaign creates attention. Your growth system creates consistency.
Think beyond launch: lifecycle marketing, CRM, product analytics, demand generation and experimentation.
Because the goal isn’t just to launch.
It’s to get the right people to understand the product, experience value, keep using it and eventually become loyal customers.
