I just watched this video above. It pierced my heart and taught me something deep about life, friendship, and community. My brother, my sister, dont ever be isolated.
A bird’s nest was under attack by a snake. The bird, in a desperate attempt to defend her home and her young ones, fought bravely. But soon, the snake overpowered her. She was encircled, moments away from being swallowed.
Just when it seemed like the end, something powerful happened. Other birds, her mates, flew in from nowhere. They came together, pecked at the snake, distracted it, picked the snake and dropped it far away, and rescued their friend from death. What a powerful reminder that life is not meant to be lived alone.
Sometimes, we think we are strong enough to face life’s battles alone. But truthfully, none of us is invincible. There will be days when our strength fails, when danger surrounds us, when the snake coils too tightly. On such days, it is not our wings that save us, it’s the wings of our friends.
* Be close to your friends.
* Keep relationships warm and sincere.
* Don’t isolate yourself.
* Be the kind of friend who shows up when it matters.
* One good turn truly deserves another.
This life is relationship-driven. Who you walk with can determine whether you survive the snakes of life or not. If you have people who love you, stay close to them. And if you don’t, start building those bridges now, sincerely, and intentionally.
Don't wait until the snake comes. Be a friend. Keep friends. Don’t be selfish to tell others how your friends helped you. Keep it to yourself doesn’t define maturity but stupidity. If you need a sincere friend, be a sincere friend.
We all need someone someday. 🕊️💛
